UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH GLENMORE POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Three scholarships are available for eligible postgraduate programmes offered by the University in the 2024-2025 academic session.

ELIGIBILITY:

The scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission in the 2024-2025 academic year on one of the listed eligible Human Medical programmes. The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship would particularly welcome applications from students from Africa. 

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.

It is envisioned that successful applicants, on completion of their studies, will continue to work in countries that will benefit most from their furthered medical education. Priority will be given to those who have not had the opportunity to study at Masters level previously.

In order to gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh.  Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship will cover full tuition fees for the duration of the programme of study.

UAL INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Application Deadline: Friday 5 July 2024 (Round 2)

LOCATION: England

This scholarship provides a £7,000 tuition fee waiver for a full-time, part-time or online taught master’s course at one of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes. Up to 300 UAL International Postgraduate £7,000 Scholarships are available.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must hold an offer to study a full-time, part-time or online taught master’s course at one of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes starting in 2024/25.

Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MBA, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification

You need to qualify for the Overseas category of tuition fee status. Read more about Postgraduate Tuition Fees.

You have achieved, or are predicted to achieve, an upper second-class honours degree or above at undergraduate level. Recognised equivalent qualifications are also accepted. To check your eligibility, read the International Academic Qualifications Equivalency (PDF 472 KB).

You will need to provide your transcripts as proof of your qualification.

If you have not yet received your results, you will need to provide evidence of your predicted grade as part of your application. When you receive your results, you will need to provide further evidence that you have achieved your predicted grade to be granted the award.

You must provide a personal statement as part of your scholarship application which responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question

You are able to support your application with a satisfactory personal reference from an academic or professional referee. Your reference must be provided in English.

If your application is successful you will be sent an award letter via email and if you want to accept the scholarship you will be required to accept on your UAL Portal.

Your tuition fees will be raised directly to your fees account in the first year of your course.

For those studying Online, part-time or extended full time courses where your scholarship award may be more than your Year 1 course fee, the surplus will be used towards your Year 2 fees.
