MASTERCARD KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (KNUST) SCHOLARSHIPS FOR AFRICAN STUDENTS

Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at KNUST is thrilled to announce its 2024 scholarship opportunity for academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people in Ghana and sub-Suharan Africa. Eligible candidates are welcomed to apply.

ELIGIBILITY:

MasterCard Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST) Scholarships for the 2024/2025 Academic year:

All Applicants must have a WASSCE or GBCE or ABCE or GCE O’Level and A’Level or their equivalent Results from an accredited/recognized institution and Certificate Ready and must meet KNUST’s Admission Requirements. NO AWAITING RESULTS candidate will be accepted. Applicant’s result must be at least a year old.

The Applicant must demonstrate that he/she has Critical Economic Needs.

The Applicant must have Proven Records of Leadership and Community Engagement(s).

Priority shall be given to;

Females

Displaced Persons (Certified Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, etc.)

Persons with Disability

The Applicant must be prepared to Go-Back and Give-Back to his or her Community.

The Applicant must not be enrolled in any tertiary institution.

Value of MasterCard Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST) Scholarships:The Scholarship includes;

Comprehensive financial support (full tuition, fully paid on-campus accommodation, learning materials, transportation and monthly stipend).

Regular group meetings with other scholars that focus on personal and professional development opportunities and activities tailored to build societal relationships and scholars’ capacity.

Continued academic support through academic mentoring, virtual learning, life and career coaching, and tutoring.

NAAEE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION 30 UNDER 30 NOMINATION AWARDS

EE 30 Under 30 recognizes young people across the globe who are building a sustainable future through education. Nominate yourself or someone you know today!

ELIGIBILITY:

Nominees must be 30 years old or younger (as of December 31, 2024). If you are over 30, you can still nominate someone else!

Nominees can come from anywhere in the world.

Nominations must be in English, but your nomination will not be judged based on your English language ability.

Nominees must be using EE to address sustainability issues, build a more inclusive environmental movement, and/or create healthier and more civically engaged communities. Read more about key elements of EE here.

Nominees must demonstrate some leadership in EE, but you do not need to be in a leadership position to demonstrate leadership! This can include (but is not limited to!) inspiring others to take action towards a shared vision, listening to and taking action for the needs of your community, innovating in the face of challenges, creating inclusive environments for participation and engagement, and much more.

Video requirement: All nominees need to submit a short introduction video (90 seconds max) and provide a letter of support. Please take a close look at the application, whether you are nominating yourself or someone else, to understand these requirements.
