E-JUST TICAD8 AFRICAN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STI

LOCATION: Egypt

E-JUST offers “E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarships for STI” – i.e. TICAD8 Scholarships to develop high quality human resources in the field of STI (Science, Technology and Innovation) toward future African STI network and beyond. These scholarships are provided under the cooperation of the Egyptian government and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants shall be researchers or instructors (or potentially expected to become those) who needs to obtain M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in the fields of Science or Engineering or other specialization.

Applicant must be a holder of nationality of a country in Africa except for Egypt.

Applicant must have a current home address in an African country.

Applicant must not be serving in the military.

Applicants should fulfill all of the admission requirements and pass the academic interview and oral examination.

Applicants who shall continue their jobs in their home universities or institutions after completion of his postgraduate program at E-JUST are preferrable. In this case, Endorsement of the application forms by their home institution is required in order to assure that they would return to home institutions in the future.

For Fall 2024 Intake: Around 20 M.Sc. and 42 Ph.D. Scholarship Slots.

THE BARTLETT PROMISE SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: England

This scholarship is open to applicants who are nationals and residents of a Bartlett approved list of Sub-Saharan African countries who have admission to a Bartlett master’s course.

ELIGIBILITY:

Prospective students who are nationals of Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Republic of Congo, Cote D’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia (including Somaliland), South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Postgraduate taught master’s courses.

Up to four scholarships are available to students starting Bartlett Master’s programmes in September 2024

Those who are considering applying for the scholarship for 2024-25 are advised to review The Bartlett master’s courses by department and identify the course that they would be interested in studying.

Only when they have the offer of a place on a Bartlett master’s course, can candidates apply for The Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Scholarship.

BENEFIT:

Full overseas tuition fees, an annual allowance of £16,008 to cover living and study expenses for the normal duration of the programme at UCL. In addition: a flight to/from the UK, UK Study Visa costs, English language assessment costs, health test costs and the NHS Immigration Health Supplement charge. All Promise scholars will also receive on-going academic and career support during their study.
