THE MILKEN-PENN GSE EDUCATION BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION

The Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition is considered the most prestigious and well-funded competition of its kind, attracting innovative ideas from around the world. Since 2010, the competition has awarded more than $2 million in cash and prizes.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition (EBPC) is open to applicants worldwide addressing educational inequities through innovation.

They welcome education ventures with innovative solutions to educational inequity from around the world, especially those ventures founded by and serving individuals from marginalized and historically underrepresented communities. They encourage applicants working in every conceivable educational setting–from early childhood through corporate and adult training. They also welcome both nonprofit and for-profit submissions.

Finalists get targeted venture development support from a strategic advisor, opportunities for in-person networking with investors and potential customers.

BENEFIT:

Up to $80,000 worth of prizes to be won in these caterogies:

GOVERNMENT OF IRELAND – INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) programme supports high-calibre international students who wish to study at master’s or PhD level in Ireland. Under the initiative, 60 scholarships are awarded each year for one year of full-time study at master’s or PhD level. The programme is open to applicants studying in any field.

ELIGIBILITY:

In order to be eligible for a Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship, applicants must have a domiciliary of origin outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/ United Kingdom. Candidates will need to apply for admission to a relevant master’s or PhD programme offered by an eligible higher education institution as per that institution’s admission procedures. Applicants must have a conditional or final offer of admission to that higher education institution at the time of application and will be required to submit a copy of same. The offer letter must confirm that the student has been offered a place on a full-time programme as an international fee-paying student.

BENEFIT:

A stipend amounting to €10,000 for one year of full-time study at master’s or PhD level.
