INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP SEPTEMBER ENTRY AT OXFORD BROOKES UNIVERSITY

Oxford Brookes University knows that moving to a new country can be a challenge, and they believe that early preparation is an important factor in student success. In order to encourage students to be well prepared for their new life in the UK, they are offering a £2,000 scholarship to support students who make their deposit payment by the following deadlines:

ELIGIBILITY:

This scholarship is available for new, full-time, international fee-paying students undertaking undergraduate degrees (including Integrated Foundation Courses, year one, credit entry, and final-year entry courses) or full-time 1 or 2-year postgraduate degrees.

Eligibility is limited to students commencing a degree in September 2026.

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

Have an offer from the University to begin a degree programme in September 2026.

Have made payment of a tuition fee deposit by the deadline that corresponds to your offer date (as outlined in the table above). Please read the terms of your offer carefully, which will specify if a deposit is required. Please note that:

This scholarship is only available to International students funding their studies through private financial arrangements (such as direct payment of tuition fees or loan arrangements with personal responsibility for repayment eg. US loan funding).

You will need to provide evidence of any bank transfer payments by this deadline in order to ensure you qualify for the scholarship.

Please read the terms of your offer carefully, which will specify if a deposit is required.

This scholarship is not available to students where the Home and Overseas fee are the same level.

Please check your offer letter for the deposit amount you need to pay. Your deposit needs to be received by cleared funds on or before the deadline that corresponds to your offer date (as outlined in the table above) and a receipt may be required for eligibility purposes.

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN AFRICAN STUDIES AT OXFORD SCHOOL OF GLOBAL AND AREA STUDIES

The African Studies Centre (ASC) at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA) is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in African Studies for a two-year fixed-term position.

This fellowship offers an outstanding opportunity for an early-career scholar to consolidate and launch their postdoctoral career within one of the world’s leading centres for African Studies.

ELIGIBILITY:

The successful candidate will hold, or be close to completion of, a relevant doctorate by the time of the start of employment and no earlier than three years before 1st January 2026. Applicants from all academic fields will be considered. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, including writing for publication, presenting research papers at academic seminars and conferences, and publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed international journals and presses. Further essential criteria for the role include a commitment to teaching and supervising postgraduate students.

They welcome applications from candidates with previous experience in:

Delivering teaching and thesis supervision

Independently leading a research programme and

Working collaboratively with researchers.
