HARVARD LEARN, ENGAGE, ADVANCE, DISRUPT “LEAD” FELLOWSHIP FOR PROMOTING WOMEN IN GLOBAL HEALTH

The year-long LEAD Fellowship program runs from September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027.  Beginning in the fall semester, fellows will engage virtually in the fellowship program to plan their unique personal growth and leadership plan, in part through 1:1 executive leadership coaching. 

ELIGIBILITY:

They welcome applicants from all continents, regions, disciplines, sectors, genders, and gender identities. Candidates nominate themselves by submitting an application for the fellowship.

Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field. 

Applicants must work full-time in the field of global health and have at least 10 years of professional experience. Work completed as a university student does not count as professional experience. 

Applicants must have the full support of their employer and a champion in their organization who serves as a reference. 

Applicants must take a leave of absence (or equivalent) from their home institution during their in-residence experience for 6 weeks in April 2027. 

Applicants must be able to obtain a J-1 visa for travel to the United States and must be able to reside in Boston, MA. NOTE: Visa fees, housing, and flights will be covered under the fellowship and a living stipend will be provided for the weeks in residence. 

During the two years prior to arrival at Harvard, the fellows should not have participated in a full-time fellowship that lasted 4 months or longer. 

CV/Resume  

A Letter of Intent (no more than 1.5 pages in length) The letter of intent should describe your professional journey in global health and why/how the LEAD fellowship would be transformative for your organization and your country. 

Four essays (no more than 2000 characters each)  

Essay 1: Plan for Career Development/Training Activities  

Essay 2: Project Plan  

Essay 3: Candidate’s Plan to Provide Mentoring  

Essay 4: Fellowship Impact on Candidate’s Organization, Field, and Home Country 

BENEFIT:

The in-residence month on campus is financially covered through the fellowship award and fellows will be provided a stipend for logistical expenses (i.e. housing, flights to and from Cambridge, MA, course fees and daily per diem for food and transportation).

AKADEMIE SCHLOSS SOLITUDE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SOLITUDE FELLOWSHIPS

LOCATION:  Germany

Starting October 15, Akademie Schloss Solitude is accepting applications for its residential fellowships for the period 2026–2028. International artists, researchers, and cultural professionals from all disciplines will have the opportunity to apply for a six- or nine-month fellowship. Akademie Schloss Solitude awards up to 60 international residencies.

ELIGIBILITY:

The program is open to individuals with two to ten years of independent practice after completing their training, regardless of age. Collectives of up to two people may apply, provided they have been working together for at least two years. Not eligible are applicants still in training or studies (except for PhD candidates), as well as those holding a permanent professorship. Working languages are German and/or English (house language: English).

International artists and scientists can apply for a fellowship in the following spheres of practice: VISUAL (Fine Arts & Film/Video), AURAL & PHYSICAL (Music/Sound & Performing Arts), SPATIAL (Architecture & Design), TEXTUAL (Literature & Language), DIGITAL (New Media Art & Digital Art), and SCIENTIFIC (Humanities & Applied Sciences).

The selection process takes place in two stages:

Stage 1 (October 15–November 14, 2025): Open Short Application (online) on the application platform.
After the first stage of the application process, an anonymous random selection procedure will be used in spheres of practice with very high numbers of applications to ensure a fair pre-selection.

All applicants will be notified by e-mail whether or not they are admitted to the second stage.

Stage 2 (November 24–December 19, 2025): Full Application (online) on the application platform
Admitted applicants may submit a full application via the platform between November 24 and December 19, 2025 (6 pm CET).
Deadline: December 19, 2025, 6 pm CET

BENEFIT:

The fellowship includes:

a 6- or 9-month residency in Stuttgart,

a monthly fellowship of €1,300,

a furnished live/work studio incl. utilities,

a one-time travel allowance for arrival and departure.

Fellowships are generally awarded for a period of six or nine months.
