INTERNATIONAL AIDS SOCIETY (IAS) CONFERENCE MEDIA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME IN RWANDA.

Application Deadline: 22 January 2025, 23:59 Central European Time (CET).

LOCATION: Rwanda

If you are at least 18 years old on 13 July 2025 and working, volunteering, or studying in the area of HIV, you are welcome to apply for a scholarship for IAS 2025.

ELIGIBILITY:

The following candidates will be given priority:

Abstract presenters whose submission has been selected for the conference

Applicants from low- and lower-middle-income countries

Applicants who are part of key populations and people living with HIV

Young people and early-career investigators below the age of 35

Applicants who did not previously receive a scholarship for an IAS Conference

IAS – the International AIDS Society – will award both in-person and virtual scholarships for IAS 2025. Please indicate your selected attendance type in your application, as well as the types of financial support you require to participate. Note that given the high demand, we may not be able to grant full scholarships to all selected candidates. For those opting for virtual attendance, note that IAS 2025 is not a fully hybrid conference, so online sessions will be available on demand only.

BENEFIT:

In-person plus on-demand registration, including: 

On-demand access to the recordings of all conference sessions, satellite sessions, pre-conferences and e-posters throughout the conference and until 19 August 2025 

In-person access to all conference sessions, satellite sessions, pre-conferences, the poster exhibition and the exhibition  

Travel support (pre-paid economy class return ticket from the nearest international airport in your country of residence) for the dates of the conference

Accommodation (single room in a budget hotel) for the duration of the conference

Daily living allowance for each day of the conference (some of the allowance may be provided in the form of lunch vouchers for use at the conference venue)

On-demand (virtual only) registration, including:

On-demand access to the recordings of all conference sessions, satellite sessions, pre-conferences and e-posters throughout the conference and until 19 August 2025

ASSOCIATION OF COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITIES (ACU) QUEEN ELIZABETH COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIPS

Application Deadline: January 14, 2025.

LOCATION: Multiple Regions

Study for a two-year master’s degree at an ACU member university in a low- or middle-income country.

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) offer a unique opportunity to study for a two-year Master’s degree in a low- or middle-income Commonwealth country.

Aimed at students who are committed to creating change in their communities, the scholarships are a life-changing opportunity to experience a new country and culture, to broaden horizons, and to build a global network that will last a lifetime. Applications for 2025-26 are now open.

Visit the relevant university website for more information on your chosen course using the links included below.

Complete and submit a QECS application for your chosen university/course by clicking the ‘Apply now’ button.  Once you’ve clicked apply, you’ll be directed to a log-in page. If you don’t already have a myACU account, click get ‘get started’ in the right-hand corner of the page to start your application.

Submit an application to your chosen university for admission to your chosen course.

Each year there are two opportunities to apply for QECS – cycle 1 opens in November/December and cycle 2 opens in March/April. You only need to submit one application, but you are welcome to apply more than once if there is another country you are interested in studying in.
