CARDIFF UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SCHOOL MBA SCHOLARSHIPS

The MBA Scholarship schemes recognise high-quality candidates who share the institution’s Public Value ethos and ambitions and want to take the next step in their career by studying for their MBA at Cardiff Business School.

The following full terms and conditions apply for this scholarship:

Scholarships are available to applicants who meet the terms of their offer and enrol on any Cardiff University MBA programmes.

The Public Value Scholarship and The Cardiff MBA staff discount are only available to self-funded students. They will be awarded in the form of an automatic tuition fee discount and cannot be used in place of any required deposit. No cash alternative is available.

The corporate discount starts at 20% and increases to 25% when 3 or more members of the same organisation enrol on the programme. The scholarship will be awarded in the form of an automatic tuition fee discount. No cash alternative is available. If your studies will be part-funded by an employer and part self-funded, or you have funding arrangements not covered here, please contact MBA-Enquiries@cardiff.ac.uk to discuss your individual circumstances.

Scholarships are for entry in the autumn semester. Any requests to defer entry and receipt of the scholarship will need to be done via direct discussion with the school.

Applicants who are in receipt of any variation of the MBA scholarships are not eligible for any other University bursaries or scholarships.

For our full-time programmes, only self-funding international and home fee status students are eligible. The scholarship is not open to students who are in receipt of funding from external bodies such as local Government, charities or private organisations. This excludes postgraduate loans from the UK Government and postgraduate loans and bursaries from the Welsh Government.

If you are an international student, you must satisfy all financial requirements as part of your visa application for study in the UK. You should not be solely relying on receiving the Cardiff University MBA Public Value Scholarship to meet the UKVI financial requirements. Please see  UKVI financial requirements for visa applications for further information.

Please ensure that you have left sufficient time for your application and supporting documents to be reviewed and processed before the acceptance deadline noted above. We have three scholarship options available for our MBA programmes:

MBA Public Value Scholarships: These £7,500 scholarships recognise high-quality candidates who share our Public Value ethos and ambitions and want to take the next step in their career by studying for their MBA at Cardiff Business School.

Part-time MBA programme corporate discount: They are pleased to offer a 20% discount for employers who invest in their workforce by supporting them to study our part-time MBA programme. The discount rises to 25% if 3 or more staff enroll.

The Cardiff MBA staff discount: All self-funded Cardiff University staff are entitled to a 25% discount on the MBA fee. All variations of the MBA programme are included in the scholarship scheme.

LKAB BACHELOR AND MASTER SCHOLARSHIPS

Application opens on the 16th of October 2025 and closes on the 28th of February 2026.

LOCATION: Sweden

Students applying to one of the programmes listed below have the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship is granted on the basis of academic excellence. Priority is given to applicants that have chosen the programme as their first choice.

Bachelor programme in Mineral Resource Engineering

Master programme in Applied Environmental Geochemistry

Master Programme in Civil Engineering, with specialization in mining and Geotechnical Engineering

Master programme in Exploration Geoscience

ELIGIBILITY:

The scholarship is awarded primarily on the basis of academic excellence and the selection process is undertaken in parallel with the admission process. Only applicants who fulfil the admission requirements of the applied programme are eligible for a scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded one (1) semester at a time. Prior to each semester, the scholarship holder’s study performance is checked in LADOK. The scholarship holder must have completed the course credits specified below in order to receive scholarship for the next semester. The scholarship holder’s course credits must be registered in LADOK no later than 1 of December for the start of the spring semester or no later than 1 of May for the start of the autumn semester:

Prior to semester no. 2 = at least 7.5 credits.

Prior to semester no. 3 = at least 37.5 credits.

Prior to semester no. 4 = at least 67.5 credits.

Prior to semester no. 5 = at least 97.5 credits.

Prior to semester no. 6 = at least 127.5 credits.

If a scholarship holder has not fulfilled the required criteria for accomplished study results (see above) when the study performance is checked for the upcoming semester, the scholarship will not be awarded the scholarship for that semester. Failure to fulfill the required criteria for accomplished study results means that the scholarship holder will have to pay by them self in full for the living expenses/tuition fee for that semester.

If the scholarship holder, at a later stage, completes the stipulated number of credits specified above at the point when the study performance is checked prior to a semester, the scholarship holder can receive the scholarship for the semester that the applicable criteria are met. However, a missed scholarship period will not be awarded afterwards.

The application should provide the University with a Curriculum Vitae, a motivation letter and a letter of recommendation. The motivation letter and the letter of recommendation must contain no more than 600 words each.

The application period for the scholarships is open between the 16th of October and the 28th of February.

BENEFIT:

Students from countries within the EU/EEA and Switzerland (non-Swedish citizens): Can apply for a scholarship that covers living expenses. SEK 13,000 per month.

Students from a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland: Can apply for a scholarship that covers the tuition fee at LTU for the whole length of the programme, provided that the study results are satisfactory. The scholarship does not cover living expenses.
