THRIVE PHILANTHROPY SEED GRANT

LOCATION: USA

The Seed Grant funds initiatives outside the USA that accelerate alternatives to industrial animal agriculture, create plant-rich food systems, and/or increase access to or awareness of nutritious plant-based foods. They invite applicants from any country in the world except the USA.

ELIGIBILITY:

Proposals that accelerate alternatives to industrial animal agriculture, create plant-rich food systems, and/or increase access to or awareness of nutritious plant-based foods.

Aligns with Thrive Philanthropy’s safespace policy.

Outside the United States and/or are not an international chapter of a US-based organization.

Applicants must consistently demonstrate a positive reputation with their stakeholders and community and be able to contribute to Thrive Philanthropy’s positive reputation.

For African applicants—have received an invitation or previous grant.

Not a for-profit company.

They are currently prioritizing organizations with a budget less than $500,000 USD.

Special Note for Africa-Based Applicants:

Due to an exceptionally high number of proposals coming from Africa, African proposals are accepted by invitation only or by previous grantees.

Within the accelerator you’ll get to join a cohort of like-minded advocates across Africa, and Thrive will get to know more about your work, increasing your chances of being invited to apply in the future.

The Thrive Seed Grant ranges up to $5000 USD.

The Seed Grant is geared toward new or small-scale organizations, one-time projects, conference sponsorships, individuals without nonprofit status, or applicants that haven’t received a grant from Thrive in the past

FIFA GLOBAL CITIZEN EDUCATION FUND

The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund supports grassroots organizations expanding access to quality education and sports for children in underserved communities. By uniting resources and partnerships, FIFA and Global Citizen aim to give every child the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. Apply now to join in building a brighter, more equitable future for children worldwide.

ELIGIBILITY:

Application Types: Organizations may apply for General Operating Support or Program/Project Support. 

Organization: Applicants must be community-based, grassroots organizations serving between 500 and 10,000 individuals. 

Request Amount: The amount requested must be less than 50% of the applicant’s annual budget for the proposed grant year. 

One-time grant: Grants are for one year only, and grantees are not invited to reapply. 

Amount: Approximately 150 organizations will be funded in Cycle I, 2026. 

Reporting: Grant recipients will be required to submit to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund a midterm and final report. 

Screening: Those applicants that pass initial screening may be invited to meet with Fund officials. 

Language: The application is currently available in English only but will be translated into other languages soon. Applicants may apply in their native language. 

Confirmation: Upon submitting an application, the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund will send confirmation that the application was received. In addition, applicants might hear from the Fund’s staff prior to December 31, 2025, if there are any questions about their application. 

Submission Limit: Only one application to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund may be submitted per applicant.

Grants range from $50,000- $250,000 USD
