DOUG PENSINGER PHOTOGRAPHY FUND

Apply for the the Doug Pensinger Sports Photography Fund. The 2024 application will be hosted on Picter beginning on March 15 (deadline May 1).

ELIGIBILITY:

The Doug Pensinger Photography Fund supports emerging and early-career sports photographers.

Photographers with more than 3 years cumulative paid professional sports photography experience are considered beyond the scope of the DPPF’s programs. Previous DPPF grant recipients are not eligible to apply.

The DPPF is committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity and to providing free merit-based access to its programs.

The application process is not limited to U.S. citizens, although international candidates should be aware that the DPPF is not able to provide support that is prohibited under U.S. law.

BENEFIT:

7 photographers will each receive

A $5,000 grant, to be spent on career development

Expenses-paid trip to the 2024 DPPF Sports Photography Gathering (scheduled for September 2024; see details below.)

In addition to the main grants program, the DPPF also awards Development Grants supporting sports photographers of great potential whose current portfolio quality may be affected by severe economic and/or geographic or cultural limitations. After the seven winners of the $5,000 grants are chosen, the panel will select deserving candidates from the remaining pool of applicants as recipients of Development Grants.

UNIVERSITY OF GRONINGEN TALENT GRANT 1-YEAR MA PROGRAMME IN THEOLOGY AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES

LOCATION: The Netherlands

The University of Groningen invites all eligible candidates to apply for the Talent Grant 1-year MA programme in Theology and Religious Studies.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Talent Grant is financed by the Faculty of Religion, Culture and Society. The scholarship is aimed at international students from OUTSIDE the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their Master’s in Theology and Religious Studies. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Students from countries outside the EU/EEA who have been admitted to one of the tracks of the Master’s programme in Theology & Religious Studies:

MA Religion and Pluralism: Ancient & Modern;

MA Religion, Conflict and Globalization;

MA Heritage and Religion.

Candidates should:

Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and will not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans (” Studiefinanciering “)

Have obtained conditional admission to one of the MA tracks in Theology and Religious Studies;

H ave excellent academic performance and grades during their bachelor/ undergraduate studies;

Not have already obtained a master’s degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands;

Have excellent English language proficiency, in accordance with the admission requirements of the program;

Be available for the whole period of the programme and be able to take part in the entire programme;

Confirm in writing their agreement with the Grant when awarded with the Talent Grant.

BENEFIT:

The grant is € 5.000,- and is awarded for a 1 year Master’s degree programme in Theology and Religious Studies
