IMD NESTLÉ SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN

In 1956, IMEDE (Institut pour l’Edude des Méthodes de Direction de l’Entreprise) was established in Lausanne by Nestlé in coordination with Harvard Business School. In 1989, the institute merged with IMI in Geneva to create IMD and its Lausanne-based campus, with a vision to develop global leaders.

IMD’s strong ties with Nestlé continued, and in 1997, the IMD MBA Nestlé Scholarship for Women was launched, and it has supported future women leaders ever since.

ELIGIBILITY:

Criteria:

Demonstrate excellence in previous academic and/or professional endeavors, including GPA (or equivalent) and GMAT/GRE

Convince us of your ambition and ability to use your education to pursue a leadership role

Career progression and international exposure

Ability to contribute to the overall learning experience of the class

Performance during the Assessment Day

Essay: “Building a diverse and inclusive workplace requires the participation and accountability of each member of the organization. What would you recommend as ways for Nestlé to better foster allyship amongst employees?” (750 words)

Priority will be given to women from developing countries (Employees of Nestlé or its subsidiaries are not eligible.)

AFDB YOUTHADAPT CHALLENGE: SCALING UP GENDER-RESPONSIVE YOUTH INNOVATIONS FOR CLIMATE ACTION.

LOCATION: Nigeria

The African Development Bank Group and the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) are jointly implementing a strategic partnership program, the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP), aimed at mobilizing $25 billion to scale up and accelerate climate change adaptation actions across Africa. Applications are open.

ELIGIBILITY:

Age – The entrepreneur must be between the ages of 18 to 35.

Citizenship of founder –  The founder must be of African nationality or the founder must be playing an active role in the operations of the enterprise.

Geography and legal registration of the company –  The business must be legally registered in Africa.

Profitability – The business must have generated profits for the last two years.

Impact/ Climate adaptation – The business must demonstrate a direct impact on climate adaptation and resilience.

Gender Only female-owned enterprises are eligible – 51% of shareholding should be female.

Industry –  Must be within the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) technologies.

BENEFIT:

Grants of up to USD 100,000 per enterprise to support their business growth plans.

Participate in a 1-year accelerator program designed to empower the selected young entrepreneurs and their teams with tailored business development skills, mentorship, training and resources to scale-up climate adaptation innovations and boost the creation of green jobs.

Expanding partnership, knowledge sharing, exchange and learning through a network of youth entrepreneurs in Africa.
