GENERATIONS:GLOBAL GRANT

Even within welfare and criminal justice systems, child and youth abuse can be more prevalent than what is visible in mainstream media. Youth and children are often sidelined in building solutions for the next generation. Our hope is that this grant will be accessible for individuals regardless of age, (dis)ability, or society’s preconceived notions about their capacity.  Funded by the Institute for Equality in Development Innovations. The grant provides funding for students with ideas to:

  1. Prevent child and youth abuse or
  2. Support survivors-of-abuse

ELIGIBILITY:

This grant is open to students of all ages, including homeschool students.

Students in post-secondary/university/college programs are eligible, and invited to indicate their current funding levels to help us make equity-based distribution of available funding.

BENEFIT:

Variable, with a cap of 100000 USD per team or individual.

THE YENCHING ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP 

Application Deadline: 3 December, 2023  (12:00 noon Beijing time).

LOCATION: China

The Yenching Academy annually enrolls approximately 120 new students from both the Chinese Mainland and abroad, to study, live, and learn together. International students comprise roughly 80% of the student body. The institution is accepting applications for the 2024 cohort of Yenching Scholars starting August 15, 2023.

ELIGIBILITY:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field, or be currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree program and be on track to graduate no later than August 31, 2024*;

An outstanding academic record;

Strong interest in interdisciplinary study of China;

A record of extracurricular achievement, community engagement, social responsibility, and leadership potential;

English proficiency.
