CALL FOR APPLICATION FOR THE ASSIGNATION OF MERITBASED INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR (FOURTH TIMEFRAME)

The scholarships offered through this Call for Application are the following:

n. 10 Platinum Scholarships – Milan;

n. 18 Gold Scholarships – Milan;

n. 1 Gold Polo di Cremona Scholarship;

n. 16 Gold “Morigi” Polo di Piacenza Scholarships;

n. 10 Gold Polo di Piacenza Scholarships;

n. 10 Silver Polo di Cremona, Lecco, Mantova, Piacenza Scholarships.
All Merit Based International Scholarships offer exemption from tuition fees payment for the entire academic year which they are assigned for.

ELIGIBILITY:

Platinum and Gold Scholarships: All international students who apply1 to enrol in a first year of Master of Science taught in English in one of the Milanese Campuses – either Leonardo or Bovisa – for the academic year 2024-2025 can apply for these scholarships. In the awarding phase, priority will be given to female international students who will be applying to attend a Master of Science during the academic year 2024-2025 in one of the following courses: Aeronautical Engineering; Automation and Control Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Electrical Engineering; High Performance Computing Engineering; Mechanical Engineering (Milan); Space Engineering.

Gold Polo di Cremona Scholarship: All international students who apply2 to enrol in a first year of Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering or Music and Acoustic Engineering taught in English in
Polo di Cremona for the academic year 2024-2025 can apply for this scholarship.

Gold “Morigi” Polo di Piacenza Scholarships: All international students who apply3 to enrol in a first year of Master of Science in Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design or Energy Engineering Renewables and Environmental Sustainability taught in English in Polo di Piacenza for the academic year 2024-2025 can apply for these scholarships.

Gold Polo di Piacenza Scholarships for Master of Science courses in
Mechanical Engineering – Mechatronics for Manufacturing: All international students who apply4 to enrol in a first year of Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering – Mechatronics for Manufacturing taught in English in Polo di Piacenza for the academic year 2024-2025 can apply for these scholarships.

BENEFIT:

Platinum and Gold Scholarships: The amount of the Platinum Scholarships is 10.000€ gross.
The amount of the Gold Scholarships is 8.000€ gross.

Gold Polo di Cremona Scholarship: The amount of the Gold Polo di Cremona Scholarship is 5.000€ gross.

Gold “Morigi” Polo di Piacenza Scholarships: The Gold “Morigi” Polo di Piacenza Scholarships consist of a slot in a double room in the accommodation Collegio Morigi, inclusive of breakfast and one other meal from Monday to Friday from 10.2.2025 for students enrolling in the second semester. from 11.9.2024 until 31.7.2025 for students enrolling in the first semester;

Mechanical Engineering – Mechatronics for Manufacturing: The amount of the Gold Polo di Piacenza Scholarships is 2.500€ gross

PAPSSN 3RD MOBILITY INTRA-AFRICA ACADEMIC MOBILITY SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME.

LOCATION: Italy

The Pan-Africa Planetary and Space Science Network (PAPSSN) aims to create a mobility scheme for students, academic staff and support staff amongst partners from Botswana, Ethiopia, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia within the thematic field: “Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Information and Communications Technology (ICT)” with particular emphasis for Planetary and Space Sciences (PSS).

ELIGIBILITY:

Partner institution: Università di Bologna – Italy

The eligible countries for TG2 are as follows;

Central:  Burundi,Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Congo (DRC), Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and São Tomé and Principe

In order to be eligible for this scholarship applicants must:

Be a national and resident in any of the eligible countries covered by the relevant Target Group; (Students cannot apply to study in an institution within their home country)

Be registered/admitted at one of the HEIs within the Partnership at the time of the application for a scholarship (Target Group I) or be registered/admitted in a HEI (not included in the partnership) of a country of the lot or having obtained a HEI degree (or equivalent) by an institution of a country concerned by the lot (Target Group 2);

Have sufficient knowledge of the language of the courses in the host Institutions.

BENEFIT:

Roundtrip flight ticket and visa costs (using a preferred travel agent and calculated against direct linear distance)

Participation costs such as tuition fees, registration fees and service fees where applicable

Comprehensive Travel Insurance (Health, Accident and Travel)

A monthly subsistence allowance for the mobility period

Settling in Allowance

Research Costs: only eligible to students on mobility for 10 months or more and to students who are registered for a minimum of 2 years. The distribution of funds from this pool shall be decided by the partners on the basis of the actual research needs of selected students. Students will be required to submit a budget for research.

An extra allowance corresponding to the monthly subsistence allowances will be paid per academic year to female master students and doctoral candidates, for mobility equal or longer than 2 academic years.

A second return ticket in case the mobility is equal or longer than two academic years.
