SCIENCE@LEUVEN MASTER’S DEGREE SCHOLARSHIP AT THE FACULTY OF SCIENCE OF KU LEUVEN

The Science@Leuven Scholarship at the Faculty of Science of KU Leuven is a prestigious academic award established to recognise and support outstanding students who demonstrate a keen interest in scientific research and a commitment to the advancement of knowledge. Motivated and talented international students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Science of KU Leuven are invited to apply for the  scholarship. 

ELIGIBILITY:

This scholarship is available for students from all nationalities

Students have to meet the admission requirements as they are set for the corresponding programmes. Please have a look at the strict eligibility criteria for each programme

Applicants must submit the following documents via the KU Leuven application tool: 

Standard documents required for admission. 

A complete list of course titles for which they have received credits (Transcript of Records). Indicate the size of the course (in ECTS-credits) and the result obtained, preferably according to the ECTS scale; if a different scale is used, please provide a summary explanation of the meaning of the grades.

A brief description (about half a page to one page) of the courses from their previous/current programme that they consider most relevant as a preparation for the Master’s programme they are considering. Provide a brief description of the content, the textbooks used and the number of credits. 

Two letters of reference from internationally renowned professors.

A letter of motivation for the programme.

There are two mandatory forms for this scholarshp:

Scholarship: Registration form for the Science@Leuven Scholarship 

You can apply for the scholarship as soon as you have applied for a specific programme, you do not need to wait until you have been accepted for the Master’s programme. However, your scholarship application will not be considered if it is clear that you will not be accepted for the Master’s programme.

BENEFIT:

Allowance of € 12,000 per academic year for a maximum of two consecutive years

LIVERPOOL JOHN MOORE UNIVERSITY VC PHD SCHOLARSHIPS SCHEME 2026

The LJMU VC PhD Scholarship is now open. The Vice-Chancellor and the University Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee have endorsed the 2026 version of the programme. Now in its 11th year, we invite applications from exceptional students with high-quality projects and supervisors to apply.

ELIGIBILITY:

In this VC PhD Scholarships 2026 round, they will accept applications from both UK and non-UK citizens (home and international fee status) and applications for full-time (course and bench fees plus stipend) as well as part-time (course and bench fees only) scholarships from those who meet the relevant academic requirements to study at the PhD level.

Students:

Students currently enrolled in master’s programs (Taught or Research M-level awards) must have completed their course prior to enrollment in the PhD at LJMU in August/September 2026.

Students already enrolled in an LJMU PhD (or any other level 8 programme of study) are not eligible to apply.

This specific scholarship programme does not support Professional Doctorates or any other non-PhD level 8 registrations.

Supervisors:

Lead supervisors must be permanent staff at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer status or above.

Postdoctoral Researchers or Research Assistants are not eligible to be Lead Supervisors on this scheme, but they may be included in supervisory teams.

Academic staff can be a supervisor to more than one studentship applicant but must be the nominated Lead Supervisor to only one applicant.
