Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FDCO) and partner organisations.
The programme offers awards for outstanding scholars from around the world who wish to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK.
The University of Kent has a long-standing relationship with Chevening, which has successfully placed scholars from all over the world at the university for many years.
ELIGIBILITY:
To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship, you must:
Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended.
Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a one-year postgraduate programme at Kent. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honors degree but varies depending on the course. Please visit our course pages for our entry requirements. Have had at least two years’ work experience acquired after completing your undergraduate degree
Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 08 July 2027.

All applicants who wish to be considered for an award at Kent are encouraged to select the university as their first preference within their Chevening application.
BENEFIT:
The scholarship includes a full tuition fee waiver, a monthly stipend, travel costs to and from the UK, and the cost of a visa application, as well as a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.
