2026-2027 CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS

Chevening is the UK Government’s prestigious international scholarships programme.  

Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office and partner organisations, they offer exceptional future leaders the opportunity to further their education in the UK.

ELIGIBILITY:

Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.  

Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship ends.

Have at least 2,800 hours of work experience after graduating with your undergraduate degree. This is roughly equivalent to two years of full-time work, though it may have been completed over a different time period.

Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master’s programme. 

Apply to three different and eligible UK university courses. You must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by the references and education documents deadline listed on the application timeline.

BENEFIT:

As Chevening Scholarships are fully funded, the award includes the following:

university tuition fees

a monthly stipend

travel costs to and from the UK

an arrival allowance

a homeward departure allowance

the cost of one visa application

a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK

QUEEN’S MANAGEMENT SCHOOL SUB SAHARAN AFRICA POSTGRADUATE TAUGHT SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Northern Ireland

Scholarships are available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, or Zimbabwe who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must be a resident of Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.

Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

No application necessary.

If eligible, confirmation of your award will be issued with your offer.

All scholarships are offered subject to terms and conditions.

The Queen’s Business School Scholarship for Sub-Saharan Africa is available only to new students who hold an offer for a place on an eligible full-time postgraduate taught programme at the Queen’s Business School, starting in the academic year 2025/26 and prior to commencement of study have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.

Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI, ROI, EU or GB fees are not eligible for the Queen’s Business School Scholarship 2025/26.

The discount is awarded for the first year of study only and is deducted from gross tuition fees upon enrollment.

The scholarship cannot be used in lieu of any required deposit, and no cash alternative is available.

Any Queen’s Business School Scholarship 2025/26 awarded is for entry to Queen’s University Belfast in the autumn semester of the academic year 2025/26 and cannot be used for 2026/27 entry or any other year.
