UNIVERSITY OF LEICESTER INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE TAUGHT MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SEPTEMBER 2025, JANUARY 2026 AND APRIL 2026.

LOCATION: United Kingdom

In recognition of the high standard of applications they receive for their master’s degrees, they are delighted to offer their International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship to international students demonstrating exceptional academic achievement. This scholarship is for students starting their course in September 2025, January 2026, and April 2026.

ELIGIBILITY:

This scholarship rewards academic achievement if you achieve a qualification equivalent to a UK first class degree. Learn more about equivalent qualifications for your country.

There is no need to apply for this scholarship. Eligible students will be automatically considered. If successful, you will be notified when you submit your final results.

You must be classified as an international student for fee purposes.

You must be starting a full-time, campus-based Master’s course or PGCE commencing in September 2025, January 2026, or April 2026.

The fee discount will be calculated on the basis of the standard tuition fee.

The scholarship will be awarded for a maximum of one year and will not apply for periods of industrial placement, resit years or if you suspend your studies for any reason.

In accordance with scholarship guidelines, students are allowed to hold only one University of Leicester scholarship. If you are awarded more than one scholarship, you will only receive the higher value award.

If you currently have a conditional offer of a place at the University, you will still need to fulfill any conditions stated on your offer letter.

BENEFIT:

This merit-based scholarship, worth £5,000 per year, is offered to international-fee-paying students applying for a postgraduate taught degree at the University of Leicester with an Undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK first-class degree.
