NORTHERN POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP, CHINA

The Nothern Polytechnic University invites all international students from all countries to apply for the fully funded NPU Presidential Scholarship program.

ELIGIBILITY:

Good physical and mental health (no infectious diseases and no physical or mental diseases affecting normal study).

Applicants applying for undergraduate program hould hold a high school diploma and be under the age of 25 before September 1st, 2024. Applicants applying for the Master program admissions should hold a bachelor’s degree certificate and be under the age of 30 before September 1st, 2024. Applicants applying for the PhD program admissions should hold a Master’s degree certificate and be under the age of 35 before September 1st, 2024.

Applicants should have good learning ability and academic performance. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above.

The global standard tests SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/IGCSE/WAEC/GED/GRE/GMAT are also accepted by NPU.

Language Proficiency Requirements.

Applicants should have Chinese/English language proficiency that meets the application and admission criteria.

The applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.

Application Period

Undergraduate application:

First batch: November 15, 2023, to February 15, 2024

Second batch: February 16, 2024, to March 15, 2024

The third batch: March 16, 2024, to April 15, 2024

Fourth batch: April 16, 2024, to May 15, 2024

Postgraduate application:

First batch: November 15, 2023 – January 15, 2024

Second batch: January 16, 2024 – February 15, 2024

Third batch: February 16, 2024 – March 15, 2024

Fourth batch: March 16, 2024 – April 15, 2024

Applicants are encouraged to apply early to have a higher chance of receiving a scholarship.

BENEFIT:

The “NPU President Scholarship” is leveled into three levels.

First level winners are exempt from tuition fee, accommodation fee, and living allowances are provided.

Living allowances:

 Undergraduate: 1500RMB/month*12months

 Master: 2000RMB/month*12months

 PhD: 3500RMB/month

Second level winners are exempt from tuition fee.

Third level winners are exempt from 50% tuition fee.

STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Hungary

Stipendium Hungaricum, the Hungarian Government’s most prestigious higher education scholarship programme, offers a wide range of courses for high-achieving international students with an excellent academic track record.

BENEFIT:

Bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s and non-degree programmes

Tuition-free education – exemption from the payment of tuition fee

Monthly stipend – non-degree, bachelor’s, master’s and one-tier master’s level: monthly amount of HUF 43,700 (cca EUR 110) contribution to the living expenses in Hungary, for 12 months a year, until the completion of studies

Accommodation contribution – free dormitory place or a contribution of HUF 40,000/month to accommodation costs for the whole duration of the scholarship period (Please note that if the student does not live in the dormitory, the HUF 40,000/month is a contribution to that rental costs, and in bigger cities – especially in the capital city – this contribution would not cover the full amount of rental costs.)

Medical insurance – health care services according to the relevant Hungarian legislation (Act LXXX of 1997, national health insurance card) and supplementary medical insurance for up to HUF 65,000 (cca 170 EUR) a year/person

Doctoral programmes

Tuition-free education – exemption from the payment of tuition fee

Monthly stipend – doctoral level: according to the current Hungarian legislation, the monthly amount of scholarship is HUF 140,000 (cca EUR 365 for the first phase of education (4 semesters) and HUF 180,000 (cca EUR 470) for the second phase (4 semesters) – for 12 months a year, until completion of studies.

Accommodation contribution – free dormitory place or a contribution of HUF 40,000/month to accommodation costs for the whole duration of the scholarship period (Please note that if the student does not live in the dormitory, then the HUF 40,000/month is a contribution to that rental costs, and in bigger cities – especially in the capital city – this contribution would not cover the full amount of rental costs.)
