SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA SCHOLARSHIP AT EDINBURGH NAPIER UNIVERSITY 

LOCATION: United Kingdom

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding students from Sub-Saharan Africa starting a course at Edinburgh Napier in January 2026. The scholarship is tenable for one academic year.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

Domiciled at the time of application in Sub-Saharan Africa, excluding Benin, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo. If you are applying from one of these countries, please refer to our West Africa Scholarship.

Self-funding your course

Meet the entry criteria for a Bachelor’s or eligible taught Master’s course in January 2026.

Scholarships are awarded automatically once you have paid your deposit payment towards your tuition fees. The number of scholarships is limited, and they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you have paid your deposit, please email cas@napier.ac.uk to be considered.

If you have discounted tuition fees from a partner university or are in receipt of another scholarship, you are not eligible for this scholarship.

BENEFIT:

They have a limited number of partial scholarships worth £2,000 (GBP).

GREAT SCHOLARSHIPS AT EDGE HILL UNIVERSITY

LOCATION: United Kingdom

Edge Hill University is offering GREAT Scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year. Scholarships are available for students from Ghana, Nigeria, and Turkey. The scholarships are available for all full-time postgraduate taught master’s programmes.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates must: 

Be a passport holder and resident of Ghana, Nigeria, or Turkey. 

Have received a conditional or unconditional offer to study a postgraduate taught programme at Edge Hill University for September 2026 entry. 

Hold a bachelor’s degree equivalent to a 2:1 or higher. 

Meet the English language requirement for the chosen programme at the time of scholarship application. 

Be a self-funded student. 

Not be a recipient of any other scholarship. 

only full-time, one-year, postgraduate taught programmes delivered at our Ormskirk campus are eligible for the award. For clarity, programmes delivered via our academic partners (either partially or wholly) are not eligible. 

NOTE: Applications received after the deadline date and applications with no study offer by this deadline WILL NOT be considered for this scholarship. We strongly advise submitting an application to Edge Hill University no later than March 2026 so there is no delay with your student journey should you be successful in your scholarship application. 

BENEFIT:

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK.
