THE BACKPACK-EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN

Application Deadline: 1 July 2024

LOCATION: Switzerland

Through the BackPack-Excellence Scholarship for Women, the Swiss foundation intends to help women to obtain the leadership skills they need to advance in their careers. The scholarship provides a transformational experience to talented and driven women who may have believed that an MBA program was out of reach due to limitations and disruptions in their professional paths. These could include family obligations, forced migration and financial constraints.

Priority will be given to female candidates who have experienced the hardship of limitations or disruptions in their paths.  For example, being forced to leave their homeland or home region due to conflict, natural disaster, persecution or because of limited opportunities for their advancement.

Provide a 500-word essay on the title: Tell us, how, an MBA at IMD will be truly transformative for you and indirectly for other women in your communities, and what are your main learning objectives.

Recipient confirmed by 1st September.

UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA MUSIC CENTRE AWARD UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE

Application Deadline: 11am on Thursday 3 October 2024.

LOCATION: United Kingdom

UEA Music Centre awards a number of Music Centre Awards every year, to new and current students who show exceptional musical achievement and commitment. The awards are for musicians of any instrument or voice and any style or tradition – including different national traditions. They are intended to encourage recipients to develop their musical and leadership skills and contribute significantly to music at UEA.

ELIGIBILITY:

Type of Course: Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught, Postgraduate Research, MBA, PGCE and Year Abroad

Criteria: UK Fees, International Fees

No qualifications need to have been taken. A high standard of performance can be demonstrated at audition. In the case of a musician performing in a style or tradition without a formal method of assessment this is particularly important. For those used to the graded exam system it may be useful to say that a performing standard of Grade 8 and above is a benchmark. Neither Grade 8 nor any other exam need either have been taken or passed.

Please note that if you currently have a UEA Music Scholarship, you are not eligible for a UEA Music Centre Award.

BENEFIT:

The awards are worth £800 per year.
