MASSEY UNIVERSITY ALISTAIR BETTS POSTGRADUATE, MASTERS AND RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPPROGRAMS

LOCATION: New Zealand

The Alistair Betts Scholarship provides financial support to students who undertake research in an international agribusiness topic that enhances New Zealand exports.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must be studying postgraduate agribusiness at Massey University and undertaking research on a topic that affects New Zealand exports.

Preference may be given to full time students, though self-funded part time students will also be considered.

The award of the scholarship will be based on the relevance of the research and how the research project aligns with international marketing of agribusiness products.

The scholarship, may be held, in conjunction with other scholarships, bursaries or awards, as long as those scholarships, bursaries or awards permit co-tenure. The selection panel has the right to refrain from making an award if there are no suitableapplicants and its decision is final.

BENEFIT:

The value of the scholarship will be determined each year from the interest earned on the capital and is typically $5,000. The tenure is for one academic year.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ZEALAND ALIGN SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM FOR UNDERGRATE STUDENTS

LOCATION: New Zealand

At Align, they’re committed to building the next generation of farmers. The Align Farms Agriculture Scholarship is part of that commitment. And when roles become available at Align farms, past scholarship recipients will be given first priority.

ELIGIBILITY:

Full time undergraduate students at a New Zealand University (who won’t be receiving the government’s first year fee-free scheme in the year following the awarding of the scholarship)

Students enrolled in a Food and Fibre-related undergraduate programme in New Zealand

Domestic or International students

Children of Align employees will be given first priority

Applications are welcome any time but applications for the year close October 1st

The recipient will be chosen on November 1st and the scholarship will begin the following February

Applications for the 2024 school year are now closed, any applications will be considered for 2025

BENEFIT:

The scholarship pays for one year’s worth of tuition fees, up to the value of $5,000. After their year of study, the recipient will be offered a paid summer internship on one of their farms, in the area they’re most interested in.
