ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT FOUNDATION: HUMBOLDT RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS FOR POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS AT UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE

The Humboldt Research Fellowships for Postdoctoral Researchers enable highly-qualified scientists and scholars who are embarking on their academic careers and who completed their doctorates less than four years ago to spend extended periods of research in Germany. Scientists and scholars from all disciplines and countries may apply and applications can be submitted at any time.

ELIGIBILITY:

Australian / domestic student/International student

Have a doctorate or comparable academic degree (Ph.D., C.Sc. or equivalent) completed less than four years prior to the date of application. Candidates who have nearly completed their doctoral degrees are eligible to apply provided that they submit the manuscript of their dissertation or publications containing the results of their dissertation.

Eligible applicants must have lived outside Germany for a minimum of 12 months in total in the 18-month period prior to submission of the application. Potential applicants who have been in Germany for more than 6 months at the time of application are not eligible to apply.

UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS FORUM CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The World Heritage Young Professionals Fora are among the flagship activities of the World Heritage Education Programme, designed to foster intercultural learning and exchange by bringing together young people and heritage experts from different parts of the world to discover new roles for themselves in heritage conservation.

ELIGIBILITY:

Participants of the World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2024 are expected to be:

Aged between 23 and 32 years

Experienced in one of these fields: World Heritage, conservation, archaeology, architecture, conservation, urban planning & regeneration, restoration, art history, tourism, climate change, and digital technology

Motivated and committed to implementing the outcomes of the Forum in their respective countries

Committed to enhancing community engagement in the management of World Heritage properties

Available for the entire duration of the Forum

Proficient in English, as the Forum will be conducted entirely in English

BENEFIT:

The participants are expected to arrive on 14 July 2024 and depart on 23 July 2024. All related expenses (economy class flights, accommodation, local transportation, and meals) will be covered by the host country for the duration of the Forum. The organizers will also assist in the travel preparations and will provide support to the participants who need a visa.
