DIGITAL FOR ALL CHALLENGE

LOCATION: Nigeria

The #DigitalforAllChallenge is Africa’s largest digital skilling competition, designed to reward self-development and encourage the acquisition and use of digital skills through competitive incentives. It is a free digital skill-building competition and program to increase digital literacy in Nigeria and igniting interest in obtaining digital skills and certifications using online platforms.

ELIGIBILITY:

Young Learners Category

To participate in this category:

You must be between the ages of 8 – 18 years.

You must be a student in either primary or secondary school.

You must complete the training in your school and pass the basic digital literacy assessment to qualify for the competition.

Your school and teacher must be registered on the platform.

Note: Only teachers actively employed with a primary or secondary school is allowed to register on behalf of their school and students

Youth Category

To participate in this category:

You must be between the ages of 19 – 45 years.

You must complete training and receive a certificate from the challenge’s basic or advanced digital skilling program.

Civil Servants Category

To participate in this category:

You must be a civil servant.

You must complete training and receive a certificate from the challenge’s basic digital skilling program.

OCI FOUNDATION UNDERGRADUATE (CUS OR CBH) SCHOLARSHIP

Application Opens: 22 February; Deadline: 26 April, 2024

LOCATION: Nigeria

Apply for the OCI Foundation Undergraduate (CUS or CBH) scholarship. The 2024 Scholarship applications (for both the first-time and renewing candidates) will commence from midnight of February the 22nd 2024, and ends at midnight of April 26th, 2024. All times are based on GMT. Ensure you have the required documents, which should be submitted separately by email to: info@ocifoundation.org.

ELIGIBILITY:

First-Time Applicants:

A valid Government-issued identity (ID) document (e.g. an International Travel Passport, a Voter’s Card, a National Identity Card or a Driver’s License). Applicants who are below the age of 18 years and are unable to apply for a government ID can submit a birth certificate.

An official letter from your school (Head of Department) stating the following: Your full name, Gender, Matriculation number (Newly matriculated scholars who have not yet received a matriculation number or school ID must provide a  provisional admission letter from their institution of study), Course Title and Level, Department of Study;

Certified (by a qualified legal practitioner) copies of the following. Note that the originals must be presented by successful applicants during the interviews:

JAMB/UME result certificate

Senior Secondary School Exam Certificate (WASSCE or NECO)

A valid student ID for your host institution

A recent passport photograph

A letter of recognition from the Traditional Ruler of your town, confirming your Local Government Area in Anambra State of Nigeria. No other letters or documents will be accepted in lieu of this.

A 500-word essay, about “My family”.

Note that originals of all the submitted documents will need to be viewed during the interview, which will only be attended by successful candidates

Renewing Applicants:

An official letter from your school (Head of Department) stating the following: Your full name, Gender, Matriculation number, Course Title and Level, Department of Study, and your Cumulative Grade point Average (CGPA) for the years completed.                                                                                       AND/OR:

An official statement of your result for the completed year(s).

If applicable, a letter stating any change(s) in your circumstances (change in department, withdrawal from school, and so on).

Note that originals of all the submitted documents will need to be viewed during the interview, which will only be attended by successful candidates.
