The University of Tasmania is pleased to offer the Janet Cretan Elite Research Scholarship to exceptional PhD applicants wishing to further their research at the institution. Janet has generously agreed to endow a perpetual scholarship for a PhD student researching in the fields of philosophy and sociology.

ELIGIBILITY:

The following eligibility criteria apply to this scholarship:

An applicant applying for PhD and a base living allowance stipend at the University rate, or a current PhD candidate who has been offered or awarded a base stipend at the University rate: and,

An applicant applying for a PhD, or a current candidate who has been offered or has commenced a PhD, in an area identified as a research strength in the disciplines of Philosophy or Sociology

Applicants who wish to apply for the Scholarship, in addition to a PhD and a base living allowance stipend, should visit the University of Tasmania’s Apply Now website and complete an application. At the end of the application, within the Comment field, please advise that you are also applying for the Janet Cretan Elite Research Scholarship.

For current PhD candidates at the University of Tasmania, who have been offered or awarded a living allowance base stipend, please complete and submit the Donor-Funded Scholarship Application form for Current Candidate (Word 74KB) to GraduateResearch.Scholarships@utas.edu.au.

All applications that meet the eligibility criteria will automatically be considered for the scholarship.

BENEFIT:

This scholarship is a top-up scholarship that provides $7,500 for 3.5 years.

Khalifa University of Science and Technology offers the following scholarships to support qualified international students enrolled in postgraduate programs. The university reserves the right to make changes to the published scholarship benefits and conditions without prior notice.

ELIGIBILITY:

Master Scholarship: The scholarship supports international students pursuing a Master’s degree at Khalifa University. Scholarship eligibility is assessed as part of the admission process and applicants are not required to submit a separate scholarship application. The number of available scholarship slots is limited. All applicants are evaluated and mapped to a specific scholarship Tier on the basis of academic merit and other relevant factors, in line with Khalifa University’s strategic priorities, rules and regulations. Meeting the eligibility criteria for a specific Tier does not guarantee a scholarship award.

PhD Scholarship: The scholarship supports international students pursuing a Doctoral degree at Khalifa University. Scholarship eligibility is assessed as part of the admission process and applicants are not required to submit a separate scholarship application. The number of available scholarship slots is limited. All applicants are evaluated and mapped to a specific scholarship Tier on the basis of academic merit, research potential and other relevant factors, in line with Khalifa University’s strategic priorities, rules and regulations. Meeting the eligibility criteria for a specific Tier does not guarantee a scholarship award.

Basic monthly stipend of 20,000 AED.

Additional monthly allowance of 20,000 AED, subject to approval and meeting scholarship progression criteria.

Support to attend international research conferences, subject to approval.

Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University.

Mobilization and demobilization flights (between home country and Abu Dhabi) for full-time overseas international students, subject to approval.

Tier II (Full-Time only)
