Welcome to the Felix Schoeller Photo Award – An international photography awards for professional photographers and young photographic talent. Felix Schoeller has been organizing and awarding the photography contest every two years since 2013. The tender for the Felix Schoeller Photo Award 2025 will start on 20.01.2025. ELIGIBILITY:

German Peace Prize for Photography: Only professional photographers may submit entries in the categories ” Sustainability” and the “German Peace Prize for Photography”. Only emerging photographers may submit entries to the special category “Emerging Photographer”. No liability is assumed for the accuracy of the information provided. Sustainability: In this category we award entries that deal with the sustainable development of our planet and our society. Learn more

Emerging Photographer: The “Emerging Photographer Award” honors up-and-coming young talents in the world of professional photography. This applies to photographers enrolled on degree courses, in professional training or internship who, in the opinion of the jury, particularly deserve to be promoted. Learn more

SIGNATURE IMAGE SEARCH PHOTO CONTEST

LOCATION: Canada

The annual signature image is used on marketing materials for Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival which includes posters (both in Banff and in over 40 countries on the World Tour), banners, website (as well as World Tour host sites), and any marketing materials including brochures, programs, and our Festival/World Tour magazine. They are now looking for an image to represent the 2026 Festival and the 2026-2027 World Tour!

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to professional photographers only!

Photos can be taken from anywhere in the world.

Photos have been ideally taken in the past 5 years. See “Image Elements: What are we looking for?” section below.

The photographer also receives far-reaching exposure to their work, and the chosen image will be featured prominently on our website along with the winner’s biography, plus the opportunity to attend screenings and events at the Festival.

Finalists will be contacted (approx. 4-5 top finalists) to make sure a final high-res copy is available should they be selected.

BENEFIT:
