UNIVERSITY OF GLOBAL HEALTH EQUITY MASTERS IN GLOBAL NURSING LEADERSHIP ADMISSIONS PROGRAMME

Applications for the Inaugural Cohort, Class of 2026 officially opens! The University of Global Health Equity aims to educate students who have a global interest, a commitment to leadership, and a desire to address issues of inequity and disparity through health delivery and Candidates must be committed to high academic integrity.

ELIGIBILITY;

Admission to the Masters in Global Nursing Leadership requires the student to meet the minimum admission requirements for graduate study of the University of Global Health Equity and the following requirements of the Center for Nursing and Midwifery:

A bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program            

5 – 7 years’ experience as a registered nurse (RN)

Currently employed.

Current non – restricted registered nurse(RN) practice license

Letter from current employer stating support for graduate study

Two professional referees

Curriculum vitae (CV)

A state of purpose essay describing the applicant’s interest in nursing leadership and the MGNL’s relationship to those goals

A personal interview with UGHE graduate faculty

All academic documents presented must be from an accredited institution. 

Completed applications must be accompanied with NOTARIZED COPIES of academic documents. 

Proficiency in English to enable the student to both comprehend learning material and to engage in verbal and written communication at the graduate level.

BENEFIT;

Successful candidates receive a 100% tuition- only scholarship. Successful candidates will be required to sign a letter committing to completing the program, failure to which they will be required to refund UGHE the entire scholarship amount.

HANGA SEXUAL & REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH (SRH) PITCHFEST

LOCATION: Rwanda

The Pitchfest are excited to work with key partners to scout, select, and  provide technical and business  support to 20  startups in Sub-Saharan Africa working on innovative tech-enabled solutions that are addressing challenges  in ways that break the mold in SRH.

ELIGIBILITY:

Must be operating in any country in Sub-Saharan Africa

Must be developing a product and venture which contributes towards a sexual and reproductive health (SRH) theme in an innovative and pioneering way

The start-up must present a tech-enabled SRH solution or have the potential to scale through technology. Technology does not need to be the core innovation but it must be enabled by hardware or software of some kind. 

Must present a working prototype. This can be in the form of a working product demo in video format, a pitch deck explaining how the product works, a functional website, or anything  similar. 

Must be registered by the relevant authorities in the country of operation

The start-up should not have raised any venture capital (except angel investors, family, and friends). Start-ups that may have received grant funding from other incubator programs or hackathons are eligible.

BENEFIT:

Funding: grant funding valued at $10,000 USD  with the scope to increase up to $30,000 USD for the highest performing start-ups in the program

Learning: a 3 month, cohort-based learning curriculum, covering entrepreneurship, evidence and SRH

Bespoke Support: Tailored support from venture-building and SRH experts over a period of 9 months for the  eligible start-ups.
