FULLY FUNDED 2026 KING’S COLLEGE LONDON POSTGRADUATE NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS

King’s works in partnership with The Burdett Trust for Nursing and the University of Edinburgh to educate nurse leaders of the future. They are delighted to announce two full-time postgraduate nursing scholarships in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care.

ELIGIBILITY:

All nurses or midwives applying for the above full-time courses are eligible for these scholarships, including UK, EU, and overseas students. Applicants should also be present in London during the academic year for on-campus teaching delivery and face-to-face contact.

The scholarships will be awarded through assessment of academic performance, relevant experience (where appropriate), and the personal statement indicating reasons for applying.

All applicants should first complete the King’s College London online application process for one of the following programmes:

MRes Clinical Research

MSc Clinical Nursing

MSc Palliative Care

The personal statement submitted with your Master’s programme application must include a brief sentence stating that you have also applied for this specific scholarship and set out how the Burdett Fellow Scholarship would impact you and your local/professional communities.

The following supporting documents within your online Master’s application:

A CV of no more than two pages with evidence of professional registration as a nurse

Two references, with at least one academic. Professional references will be accepted if you completed your qualifications over five years ago.

Personal statement. This can be entered directly into the online application form (maximum 4,000 characters) or uploaded as an attachment to the online application form (maximum 2 pages). The personal statement should also outline how the Burdett Fellow Scholarship would impact you and your local/professional communities.

An outline of your research interests and potential projects you may undertake as part of your studies. International applicants will need to provide a letter of support from their health institution supporting their research activities in their country (i.e., access to study sites for data collection) if they are planning to undertake a research project abroad.

BENEFIT:

Two awards (one for a home and one for an international applicant) are available for full-time entry onto one of our relevant postgraduate courses. For UK (Home) students the award will cover a stipend of £11,038 per annum and the university fees for the programme. For international students the award will cover a stipend of £18,765 per annum and university fees for the programme.

SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY – INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

LOCATION: Ireland

UCC’s School of Nursing and Midwifery’s offers scholarships to International students. The scholarship programme offers support to International nursing students’ domiciled in countries ranked according to the Human Development Index to pursue a course of study in one of Ireland’s leading Schools of Nursing and Midwifery.

ELIGIBILITY:

To apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

Hold an offer to start a full-time one-year BSc. Nursing Studies or MSc Nursing (Non EU) at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University College Cork, Ireland. 

Be classed as a non-EU (International) student for fee purposes in UCC

Be self-funding 

NOTE: Tuition fee scholarships will not be paid to students directly.

Capitation fees are payable by all students and are subject to change.

You must be applying for BSc. Nursing Studies current or MSc. (Non-EU) Nursing as a self-funding applicant to be eligible for this scholarship

MSc. (Non-EU) Nursing Tuition Fee and Scholarships for International Nursing Students

Tuition Fee: €19,300

Scholarships are available as follows:

50% for self-funding applicants domiciled in countries ranked between 116-191 in the Human Development Index i.e. students pay €9,650 tuition fee

35% scholarships for self-funding applicants domiciled in countries ranked between 67-115 in the Human Development Index i.e. students pay €12,545 tuition fee

BSc. Nursing Studies (Top-Up Degree) Nursing Tuition Fee and Scholarships for International Nursing Students 

Tuition Fee: € 11,200  

Scholarships are available as follows:

15% for self-funding applicants domiciled in countries ranked between 116-191 in the Human Development Index i.e. students pay € 9,520 tuition fee

10% scholarships for all other self-funding applicants domiciled in countries ranked between 67-115 in the  Human Development Index i.e. students pay € 10,080 tuition fee
