OXFORD BLACK LEADERS SCHOLARSHIPS

Powered by the Saïd Business School Foundation, the Oxford Black Leaders Scholarships offer Black and Mixed Black applicants who are ordinarily resident in the UK and North America financial support to pursue an Oxford MBA. These scholarships are intended to support exceptional future leaders who will enhance the diversity of the MBA class and the wider School, and will go on to be outstanding leaders within their sectors.  

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates must be ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom, United States or Canada, and of Black or Mixed Black ethnicity (determined via the ‘About You’ section of the MBA application form).

Awarded on the basis of academic excellence demonstrated through degree results, GMAT or GRE score, previous university prizes and awards and other academic achievements.

Evidence of leadership, or leadership potential, in your community and/or career to date.

No additional application needed. Candidates must indicate their eligibility in the programme application form, and include their ethnicity information in the ‘About you’ section. 

There is no fixed application deadline for this scholarship.

All eligible offer-holders will be considered after each MBA admissions deadline. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of this scholarship in our later application stages, so early application to the MBA programme is recommended. 

BENEFIT:

Value: Up to £30,000 per scholarship. 

Number available: Three scholarships.

The Anna Hart Scholarship underscores their dedication to fostering exceptional talent. Each year, the Faculty grants partial tuition fee waivers to outstanding students from a variety of countries. Our aim is to foster an inclusive learning environment by offering financial support, empowering students to pursue their educational aspirations.

The selection will be based on a combination of academic performance (first criterion), nationality (priority given to least developed countries) and motivation, based on your cover letter.

The student should do two things to be considered as a candidate for the Faculty of Arts Scholarship:

For a valid application, the candidate must have applied for both the programme and a scholarship before the above-mentioned deadline. All conditions have to be met at the time of selection (no ‘conditional acceptance’). Applicants can only be awarded the scholarship if they are accepted into the programme for which they have applied

Selection timetable:

1 March 2025: Scholarship application deadline

31 May 2025: Selection of scholarship holders

End of June 2025: Notification of selected students 

    BENEFIT:

    For the 2025-2026 academic year, these students will only have to pay the reduced fee of € 1,425.7, instead of the normal fee of € 4,445.6 for MA programmes or € 2,277.7 for Advanced MA programmes. This discount cannot be converted into a cash grant.
