TOM QUEBA AND PEGASYS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

Canon Collins Trust in partnership with Tom Queba Memorial Fund and Pegasys invites applications for scholarships for Honours and Masters study at South African universities in 2025. We will provide funding for up to a maximum of two years and an opportunity to enhance your academic and leadership skills through organised events.

ELIGIBILITY:

You should,

be a black African or coloured South African national, normally residing in, South Africa
be in possession of a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or about to graduate in the year of application
be studying or applying to study at Honours or Masters level at a South African university

BENEFIT:

In 2025, the value of the scholarship package is R85,000. Funding will be provided for up to a maximum of two years. We support both full and part-time study and will consider applications from those who wish to study by distance learning.

We also organise an annual conference for current scholars, and hold several smaller events throughout the year. Scholarship holders are expected to participate in these activities and to become part of and contribute to our network.

MICHAEL TAIWO ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR AFRICAN STUDENTS

LOCATION: Multiple Regions

The Michael Taiwo Annual scholarship new application window will open on June 15, 2024 at 12:00 PM GMT and close on June 29, 2024 at 12:00 PM GMT.  They  serve bright but indigent students in developing countries who are seeking post baccalaureate studies. The award typically goes to recent college graduates.

ELIGIBILITY:

The scholarship award is open to ALL recent graduates from a university, regardless of their course of study. Also, final year students are eligible to apply.

Ideal candidates have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 in a 5-point system (or equivalent CGPA if not based on a 5-point scale) or, in the case of final year students, have such CGPA as at end of the penultimate year. That said, an application is considered holistically and hence, all eligible candidates are encouraged to apply.

Application form will open for submissions on June 15, 2024 at 12:00 PM GMT and close on June 29, 2024 at 12:00 PM GMT.

BENEFIT:

Depending on individual needs, payment can be for:

One standard exam (e.g. GRE, GMAT, MCAT, or LSAT): award GRE/GMAT/TOEFL/IELTS scholarships and cover up to four school application fees. This averages about $1,000 per student. Coming up with a thousand US dollars is a steep hill to climb for many students in a developing country.

Additional score reports to schools.
