IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON PRESIDENT’S PHD SCHOLARSHIPS

If you are a high-performing undergraduate or Master’s student and have a strong desire to undertake a PhD program at a world-class research institution, a President’s PhD Scholarship could provide you with the outstanding opportunity to receive full funding for tuition fees and a generous stipend for a 3.5 year PhD place at Imperial College London.

ELIGIBILITY:

This competitive scheme has higher than usual eligibility requirements, attracting candidates that show excellent academic performance and promising research potential. 

They accept applications from talented candidates from Imperial College London, the UK and worldwide. There are no restrictions on nationality.

The scholarship applies to both full- and part-time study.

They encourage applications from people from all backgrounds, as they recognise that diversity not only benefits Imperial but also helps the sector to better represent the communities that we serve.

Candidates must be in receipt of, or due to receive, a first class or equivalent in an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree; or if this has not been achieved

Candidates must be in receipt of (or, where this has yet to be received, be able to provide evidence of high performance that will lead to) a distinction in a standalone Master’s qualification.

The scheme is only open to new PhD applications. Current registered Imperial PhD students are not eligible to be considered for a President’s PhD Scholarship.

Successful candidates will receive written confirmation of their scholarship. Any offer of a PhD place will be conditional on the candidate receiving the predicted qualifications.

Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) on 3 November 2025 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by 31 January 2026. 

Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) on 12 January 2026 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by 31 March 2026.

Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) on 2 March 2026 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by 31 May 2026.

BENEFIT:

Each of the 50 scholarships available provides the following support during the 3.5 years of study:

Full funding for tuition fees

A stipend of £26,500 (2026-27 rate) per annum to assist with living costs 

A consumables fund of £2,000 per annum for the first 3 years of study

programme of bespoke opportunities and events delivered by the Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI)

You will also have access to the full range of support available to postgraduates at Imperial, including tailored support for disabled and international students, and the wider Early Career Researcher Institute Learning and development courses.

2026 OTAGO POLYTECHNIC STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: New Zealand

This entrance scholarship recognises Study Abroad students who show academic promise and commitment to study.

This entrance scholarship supports Study Abroad students beginning full-time study in 2026.

This scholarship recognizes academic promise, a commitment to study, and a desire to gain practical, real-world skills.

There is no application for this scholarship. You are automatically considered if you enroll in one of the eligible programmes (listed below) as a Study Abroad student from one of Otago Polytechnic’s international partner institutions.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants for the Scholarship must:

Be a new international student at Otago Polytechnic (i.e. not re-enrolling at Otago Polytechnic) applying for full-time study in 2026.

Be subject to the fees set by Otago Polytechnic for new international students commencing study in 2026.

Have applied and met the entry requirements for the applicant’s programme of study (as set out in the programme regulations).

Be accepted into the programme on a full-time basis for a minimum of 45 credits and maximum of 60 credits per semester.

Be enrolling in 2026, if a student defers to 2027 for any reason, the scholarship is withdrawn.

Be studying at a partner institution as part of an approved Study Abroad agreement with Otago Polytechnic. If you are unsure if there is an agreement, please ask your home institution.

No application is required for the scholarship other than successfully enrolling as a new international student in 2026 in the qualifications advised as eligible for a scholarship.

Otago Polytechnic reserves the right to request from any applicant any additional information that it may consider necessary for determining eligibility for the scholarship.

The Otago Polytechnic decision is final and binding, and no further correspondence will be entered into once a decision has been made.
