PROTESTANTSE THEOLOGISCHE UNIVERSITEIT HOLLAND POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: The Netherlands

The Holland Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelor’s or master’s in the Netherlands. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. Are you ready for the chance of a lifetime? Apply for the Holland Scholarship!

ELIGIBILITY:

You must hold the nationality of one of the non-EU/EEA member states.

You must not have lived in Europe for more than twelve months over the past five years.

You must never have studied in the Netherlands, except as an exchange student for 1 or 2 semesters.

You should have applied for admission to the international Master of Theology (in-depth) programme of PThU.

Candidates should have an excellent study record and a particular commitment to their field of study and its ongoing development.

You must write a motivation letter in which you make clear why you are the right candidate for a Holland Scholarship at the Protestant Theological University.

You can apply for the Holland Scholarship at the Protestant Theological University until 1 May. You should send your application form and motivation letter for the Holland Scholarship Programme at PThU to a.s.nijboer@pthu.nl.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship amounts to €5,000. The scholarship will be paid to you in installments by the Protestant Theological University after arrival in the Netherlands.

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHAMPTON NIGERIA EXCELLENCE  POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: United Kingdom

Nigeria Excellence Scholarships of £4,000 off tuition fees are available to new international postgraduate students from Nigeria applying for an in-person postgraduate master’s programme.

ELIGIBILITY:

To get this scholarship you must: 

Be a resident of Nigeria who would be eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee

Have a conditional or unconditional offer to study any in-person, full-time, postgraduate master’s programme

Pay your tuition fee deposit by Tuesday 30 June 2026

They determine residency as where you have been living for a 3-year period or longer before the start of the course.

This does not include where you are living for study purposes if it is somewhere different from your place of permanent residency.

If you are already in receipt of a scholarship award from them or you become eligible for another scholarship award from them, they will apply 50% of the value of the Excellence Scholarship award. This will be applied on top of any other Southampton award you receive as long as the combined value of both awards does not equal more than 100% of your tuition fees.

You do not need to apply for this scholarship. If you meet the eligibility criteria, we will award you this scholarship and let you know by email.
