NL – ZUYD EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP (NL-ZES)

The NL–Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (NL-ZES) is a combination scholarship offering a higher scholarship amount in the first year in comparison to the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded in the form of an NL Scholarship in addition to the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship for the nominal duration of your study.

ELIGIBILITY:

The study progress of students who are awarded the NL–ZES is monitored yearly, as a minimum of 45 obtained credits per academic year is required for renewal of the scholarship for the following academic year. Renewal of the scholarship applies only for the nominal duration of the programme concerned. 

Please be aware that submitted NL-ZES applications are assessed on an individual basis, in order of arrival and are always subject to supply and demand.

Applicants that are not selected for the NL-ZES will automatically be considered for the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (ZES) after 1 June.

To apply for the NL-ZES please complete the form and send it with all the required accompanying documents to internationaloffice@zuyd.nl.

Intake semester 1:
> Final submission deadline: 1 September

Intake semester 2:
> Application open for submission: 1 November
> Final submission deadline: 1 February

BENEFIT:

 This scholarship is awarded in the form of a NL Scholarship amount (formerly known as Holland Scholarship) of € 5000 in the first year

An awarded Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (ZES) offers you a max. € 3600 net discount on your tuition fee.

UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY GLOBAL MOBILITY JOINT PHD TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP

This Joint PhD Mobility scholarship was established in 2022 to assist students to complete the offshore component of their Joint PhD Program.

This scholarship has been funded by Sydney Global Mobility.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must:

be a domestic or international student

be enrolled in a joint PhD program at the University of Sydney, where the University of Sydney is the your home institution

be enrolled at one of University of Sydney’s active international partners as the host institution

have a fully executed individual Student Agreement (as defined in the Dual and Joint Degree Policy 2019)

have completed their annual progress evaluation and have received a ‘meets/exceeds’ at your most recent progress review

only apply to Sydney Global Mobility for this scholarship once your offshore component of your Joint PhD Program has been confirmed

not have previously received this scholarship

not be under examination are not eligible.

Applicants who have not yet completed a progress review are eligible to apply.

This Joint PhD Travel Scholarship does not apply to the joint PhD program with the Group of Eight, it is only applicable to University of Sydney’s active international partners. BENEFIT:

This scholarship will provide a one-off payment of $AUD 5000 for one year.
