IPOET INTERNATIONAL MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP AT CHALMERS

LOCATION: Sweden

Chalmers will be offering approximately 33 IPOET scholarships in 2026.
The scholarship is funded by the Swedish Council for Higher Education for prospective fee-paying students. The scholarships are administered and awarded by Chalmers.

ELIGIBILITY:

1st-year Master’s programme applicants

Citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who are required to pay tuition fees for Swedish university studies

Fields of study: Unrestricted—all of the current Master’s programmes at Chalmers.

The selection is based on the applicants’ relative academic excellence, which primarily includes weighted average grade (at least 80%) but also the home university’s stature (including position on global ranking lists) and the priority order of the application for Chalmers Master’s programmes.

BENEFIT:

A 75% reduction of the tuition fees (4 semesters/2-year programme)

Students who excel during their first year of studies may receive an increased reduction, which covers 85% of the tuition fees during the second and final year of studies

No funds are transferred to the scholarship laureates

UMEÅ UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

LOCATION: Sweden

Umeå University offers scholarships each autumn semester, in conjunction with the autumn semester admission, to academically talented and high-achieving students. Scholarships are offered in the form of tuition waivers. Selected candidates receive a full or partial waiver of the tuition fee.

ELIGIBILITY:

They welcome you to register interest in a scholarship if you:

are a citizen of a country outside of the EU/EEA and Switzerland;

have applied for a full programme at Umeå University* (Bachelor’s or Master’s);

have completed your application for programme studies before the application deadline on 15 January 2026;

have paid the application fee by 2 February 2026; and

have chosen a Umeå University programme as priority 1 on the University Admissions website by 15 January 2026 at the latest.

The Master’s Programme in Sustainability Reporting and Financial Analysis is not eligible, as it is a double degree programme.

Students exempt from the application fee who are required to pay tuition fees are also considered eligible for a scholarship.

BENEFIT:

Selected candidates receive a full or partial waiver of the tuition fee.
