2025 NEXT GENERATION FORESIGHT PRACTITIONERS FELLOWSHIP

Application Deadline: 23:59 GMT+1 on July 31, 2025.

Every year they invite a diverse group of visionary young professionals who have just begun to explore the futures and foresight field to apply to our NGFP Fellowship journey. They welcome applications from individuals and teams aged 18-35 who are beginning to explore the futures and foresight field and those over 35 with less than one year of experience in the sector. 

ELIGIBILITY:

Young professionals (18-35 years old) at the beginning of your futures and foresight journey and those who are older with under one year of experience in futures and foresight.

Looking to expand their futures & foresight knowledge and network.

Committed to community and network building.

Working on a brave, pioneering, futures-focused project idea for lasting change at the systems level in your communities or globally, and can be enhanced, scaled, and its impact deepened by using foresight.

Collaborative lifelong learners with a long-term vision for impact (at least 10 years ahead).

From anywhere in the world, especially those anchored in Asia and Africa – including Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the Caribbean, Central and South America, the Pacific Islands and the Balkans.

We are particularly enthusiastic about applications from those working on the world’s most complex issues, or what we call Foresight Transformation Missions. They are Climate & Just Transitions, Democracy & Sustainable Development, Emerging Technologies, Futures Methods From Around the World & Indigenous Futures, Intergenerational Fairness, Nuclear Security, and Peacebuilding.

SCHNEIDER YOUTH EDUCATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM ACCESS TO ENERGY PROGRAM GO GREEN CHALLENGE

This is a global competition open to all students and young entrepreneurs who are passionate about making a difference through innovation in renewable energy. We invite you to join us in creating sustainable solutions for those who need it most. ​

ELIGIBILITY:

Current enrolled students aged 18 to 30

Participants must have proficiency in English as the official language for the competition.

Must participate in teams of up to 4 members. We encourage each team to be gender balanced.

All team members must study in the same country, but they may attend different educational institutions and be enrolled in different courses and various academic years.

There is no registration fee to participate—it’s free!

Timeline:

1 April—Launch and Registration: Register by submitting your resume using the following link. After registering, you will receive a follow-up email with additional instructions on how to form your team and submit your project proposals.

31 May—Registrations Close: Registrations will not be accepted. Registered teams to continue working on their project proposal submission.

30 June – Submission Deadline: Submit a renewable energy solution that addresses the identified environmental and social impacts. Evaluation will be based on eligibility criteria and judging standards.

1 July–31 July—Proposal Review: Judges will review all submissions and select the top 10 teams. 

1 August – 31 August—Project Development and Submission: The top 10 teams selected will proceed to develop their idea into a comprehensive business case. Each team will be paired with a Schneider Electric mentor to support them during the project development phase.

1 Sept. – 30 Sept. – Internal Project Review: Judges will review submitted project materials according to the judging criteria and select the top 3 teams, who will be invited to the global virtual finals to pitch their solution.

16 October—Global Final: The top 3 teams will get the opportunity to present their solution to a virtual panel of judges, who will identify a global winner!

BENEFIT:

The top three winning teams will share a total prize pool of €10,000 (1st Place: €6,000, 2nd Place: €2,500, 3rd Place: €1,500)
