TU DELFT QUTECH MSC SCHOLARSHIP

Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) aims to attract the world’s brightest students to its international classrooms. For that reason, it has established QUTECH MSc. scholarship programmes specifically designed to offer talented and motivated international students the opportunity to pursue a degree at TU Delft.

ELIGIBILITY:

Excellent international students, specifically interested in quantum technology, and (conditionally) admitted to one of the 2-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programmes:

Quantum Information Science and Technology (QIST)
Applied Physics,
Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering, or
Embedded Systems

With a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in the bachelor’s degree.

Submit your complete MSc application with the mandatory scholarship documents (including 2 reference letters and scholarship application form) before the deadline. Your MSc application will then be reviewed and an admission decision given; at that moment you will also be considered for a Scholarship.

For the correct deadline, check which deadline comes first (MSc programme application deadline or Scholarship deadline). The first deadline is leading.

Candidates must not wait for an admission decision to submit a scholarship application.

Only students awarded with a scholarship will be directly informed by TU Delft according to the scholarship timeline as indicated in the specific scholarship page 

Only students who have been granted a scholarship will be informed by TU Delft via email between mid-March and the beginning of June 2026.

Receiving the scholarship is conditional on the student fulfilling all admission criteria.

BENEFIT:

QuTech offers full scholarships for excellent international students interested in an MSc track in quantum or the MSc Quantum Information Science & Technology. The Scholarship covers full tuition fees for the MSc programme and contributes to the living expenses for two years.

MAASTRICHT UNIVERSITY GLOBAL STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION:  The Netherlands 

The Global Studies bachelor-level study programme trains students to understand and develop solutions for complex global issues, crossing disciplinary and geographical boundaries. 

ELIGIBILITY:

All candidates must meet the following requirements:

 You hold the nationality of a country that is eligible to receive Official Development Assistance from the OECD, and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands. 

Please check this website before you apply to see in which country you have to collect your MVV visa for the Netherlands.

 If you already have a residence permit for another Schengen country , you can only apply if this residence permit is still valid until at least 2 September 2026. If your residence permit expires before 2 September 2026 you can only apply for the Scholarship from your home country via a MVV visa application. More information can be found on the webpages of the Visa Office.

You do not have a dual nationality from any country in the European Economic Area or any other country not included in the list.

You have applied for admission to the Global Studies bachelor’s programme at the UM for the 2026-2027 academic year

You meet the specific admission requirements of the UM bachelor programme to which you have applied.

You do not have a diploma from a higher education institution; you are not eligible for a scholarship if you have completed a degree programme equivalent to a bachelor degree.

You are not older than 35 years of age on 1 September 2026

You agree to become an active Global Studies and UM ambassador during and after your studies, by committing to share your experiences during at least one (information) session for students and/or other stakeholders

You can only submit an application once, please make sure all documents meet the requirements before you start your application. We cannot add or replace documents after you submit the application

Please note that a mandatory part of the Scholarship is a room that will be allocated to you. Accepting the Scholarship means, you accept the room. The accommodation provided to Scholarship students is not suitable for partners/spouses and/or children. Preferences with regard to the accommodation f.e. religious beliefs will be taken into account. Refusing the room means your Scholarship will be cancelled.  

The amount of € 15,925 for living expenses (€ 1,225 per month) covers the following expenses and can be broken down as follows (amounts are subject to change):

Housing: € 600

Groceries and personal hygiene: €160

Telephone: € 60

Travel: € 100

Books and study materials: € 90

Clothing, hobbies and going out: € 125

Miscellaneous: € 90

Please note that air tickets are not included and must be paid by the candidate.
