UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL HODGSON LAW POSTGRADUATE TAUGHT SCHOLARSHIP

The Hodgson Law Scholarship has been made possible through the generous benefaction of Elizabeth Hodgson, widow of the Liverpool Solicitor Joseph Hodgson, who expressed a wish to advance the education and training of lawyers who might work for the benefit of Merseyside.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Scholarship is available to all prospective Overseas candidates (i.e., non-UK, non-EU) intending to pursue a postgraduate taught degree in law at the University of Liverpool.

Applicants must have completed or be in the final year of completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree at a minimum of 2.1 (UK Upper Second) or equivalent standard and have an excellent standard of English.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

Academic excellence.

Evidence of an interest in legal and public service, which may benefit the Liverpool City Region.

Potential and ambition for future leadership.

That they are not otherwise able to undertake a postgraduate degree at either institution.

BENEFIT:

The Scholarship includes full tuition fees for a full-time postgraduate taught degree in law (LLM) and a stipend of £10,550.

THE 15TH NEW MEDIA WRITING PRIZE

This international event is now in its 15th year. The NMWP encourages and promotes the best in new-media writing and is leading the way toward the future of the ‘written’ word and interactive storytelling.  The NMWP has attracted entries from the most innovative writers in the field, from all around the world.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Competition is free and open to any person whatever their age or nationality. NMWP assumes that where an entrant is under 18, the entrant’s parents have consented to their entry in the Competition and their agreement to be bound by the Rules.

It is possible for one person to submit more than one entry, provided each entry is submitted separately. It is possible for several persons to submit a joint entry provided one entrant is identified as the main contact.

Each entry should contain the following information within the text of the online form: a. title of the work; b. Entrant’s contact details: name, email address, telephone number, city, and country. For joint entries, all entrants’ contact details must be provided with identification of the main entrant for contact purposes;
