THE 15TH NEW MEDIA WRITING PRIZE

This international event is now in its 15th year. The NMWP encourages and promotes the best in new-media writing and is leading the way toward the future of the ‘written’ word and interactive storytelling.  The NMWP has attracted entries from the most innovative writers in the field, from all around the world.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Competition is free and open to any person whatever their age or nationality. NMWP assumes that where an entrant is under 18, the entrant’s parents have consented to their entry in the Competition and their agreement to be bound by the Rules.

It is possible for one person to submit more than one entry, provided each entry is submitted separately. It is possible for several persons to submit a joint entry provided one entrant is identified as the main contact.

Each entry should contain the following information within the text of the online form: a. title of the work; b. Entrant’s contact details: name, email address, telephone number, city, and country. For joint entries, all entrants’ contact details must be provided with identification of the main entrant for contact purposes;

The Chris Meade Memorial UK New Media Writing Prize: £1000 donated by if: book UK/Chris Meade, where the winner may also be a student, i.e., satisfies point d. of clause 7.

UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM DEVELOPING SOLUTIONS MASTERS SCHOLARSHIP

The University of Nottingham is offering scholarships covering 50% or 100% of full-time master’s tuition fees. These one-year scholarships are available to support innovative and passionate students who can successfully demonstrate their ingenuity for developing solutions that will impact their home countries and incite change.

ELIGIBILITY:

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

be domiciled in Africa, India or one of the selected Commonwealth countries listed below

be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes

hold an offer to start a full-time masters (including MRes) for 2026/27 at the University of Nottingham UK, studying in the Faculty of EngineeringFaculty of Medicine and Health SciencesFaculty of Science or Faculty of Social Sciences

Africa (all nations), Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

Where a study has been undertaken in a country listed as an eligible Developing Solutions country, applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

You must apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time master’s (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham for 2026/27 before applying for this scholarship.  Search for courses and find out how to apply.

The University requires an application fee for our postgraduate taught course applications. Please be aware that your academic application will not be assessed until the application fee has been paid and processed.
