UNIVERSITY OF KENT INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR TAUGHT MASTERS STUDENTS, JANUARY START

The University has a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world and is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships for entry at the taught master’s level.

ELIGIBILITY:

In order to be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, all of the conditions below must have been satisfied:

an application must have been made for a taught postgraduate degree course at the University of Kent (any location of study is permissible), beginning in January 2026. If you haven’t applied to Kent yet, submit your application now.

the applicant must have been assessed as an overseas fee payer.

the applicant must have received a conditional offer and accepted this by the scholarship deadline.

applicants who have applied for a master’s, which includes an integrated or incorporated pre-master’s, are not eligible to apply.

This Scholarship is not stackable with any other scholarship, unless otherwise stated. 

Applications for the International Scholarship must be made via your applicant portal. If you haven’t applied to Kent yet, submit your application now.

Once logged in, click on the applications tab and select your submitted application. Click on the funding button. You will then see a list of scholarships that you may be eligible to apply for. You will be able to apply for the International Scholarship once you have received an offer. Click on Apply and follow the steps to submit your application.

FULLY FUNDED UNIVERSITY OF KENT CHEVENING MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIPS

Application Deadline: at 12:00 GMT on 7 October 2025.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FDCO) and partner organisations.

The programme offers awards for outstanding scholars from around the world who wish to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship, you must:

Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country

Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended.

Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a one-year postgraduate programme at Kent. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honors degree but varies depending on the course. Please visit our course pages for our entry requirements. You can also look at our country-specific criteria.

Have at least two years’ work experience

Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 09 July 2026.

Chevening Scholars must be based in the UK.

All applicants who wish to be considered for an award at Kent are encouraged to select the university as their first preference within their Chevening application.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship includes a full tuition fee waiver, a monthly stipend, travel costs to and from the UK, and the cost of a visa application, as well as a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.
