ABERDEEN GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP – POSTGRADUATE

The University of Aberdeen is delighted to offer new self-funded international on-campus postgraduate master’s students starting in Academic Years 26/27. The University of Aberdeen is keen to welcome talented students from all over the world. To help students fulfil their academic ambitions and ease the costs associated with studying abroad

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible, students must be registering for a full-time on-campus program and cannot be fully sponsored or in receipt of fully funded external scholarships or other University of Aberdeen scholarships, except for awards granted by the University of Aberdeen Development Trust. Please note that the scholarship does not apply to the DPLP, PGDE, or Dentistry.

The Aberdeen Global Scholarship does not require an application. It is automatically applied to all eligible students and will be reflected on their CAS.

This scholarship aims to provide essential financial support to ease the transition into life in the Northeast of Scotland. By alleviating some of the costs associated with studying abroad, the Aberdeen Global Scholarship enables recipients to focus on their academic and personal growth as they establish their new home in our vibrant and welcoming community.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship is in the form of a partial tuition fee waiver; the £8,000 scholarship amount will be deducted from your tuition fees.

PRIX {VIRGINIA} INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY PRIZE FOR WOMEN

Awarded every other year, the Prix Virginia is inviting all female photographers, regardless of their nationality, to apply for the 2026 photographic awards.

ELIGIBILITY:

Awarded every other year, the Prix Virginia is open to all living women photographers, regardless of their nationality or age.

Work done for commercial advertising or as an editorial assignment for an article will not be accepted.

The photographs submitted must not have been published or exhibited in France heretofore. However, the artist may have already exhibited other works in France. However, the artist may have already exhibited other works in France.

The photographers may apply directly, or other professional experts (photo editors, gallery owners, photo agents, and such) may apply for them.

Each photograph must be in JPEG format72 dpi, and must not exceed 2 MB. Each photograph file name must include the photograph number, the candidate’s name, the title of the photograph, and the date. ex: 01_NameFirstName_PhotoTitle

The prize is not intended to finance the completion or the exhibition of a body of photographic work.

Application to the prize is free of any cost.

Any application that does not correspond to the conditions previously defined will not be submitted to the jury.

The prize winner and the 10 finalists should email their photographic files in high definition (300 DPI, 30cm length) to the Association. Sylvia S. can use these photographs to promote the Prix Virginia on its website, newsletter, social media, or through its partners or the media. These photographs may be cropped or resized depending on the needs, in agreement with the photographer. All informative and promotional material during these exhibitions and publications must indicate: Prix Virginia 2026

BENEFIT:

The Sylvia S. Association will award €10,000 to the winner.
