UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM DEVELOPING SOLUTIONS MASTERS SCHOLARSHIP

Developing Solutions is our flagship master’s scholarship, founded in 2001, for students from African, South Asian, and other selected Commonwealth countries. This scholarship programme is designed for international students who want to make a difference to the development of key economic, environmental, structural, social, or political structures in their home country.

ELIGIBILITY:

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

be domiciled in Africa, India or one of the selected Commonwealth countries listed below

be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes

hold an offer to start a full-time masters (including MRes) for 2025/26 at the University of Nottingham UK, studying in the Faculty of EngineeringFaculty of Medicine and Health SciencesFaculty of Science or Faculty of Social Sciences

Africa (all nations), Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

You must apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time masters (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham for 2025/26 before applying for this scholarship. Search for courses and find out how to apply.

The University of Nottingham is offering scholarships covering 50% or 100% of full-time masters tuition fees.

THE WILKES CENTER FOR CLIMATE SCIENCE & POLICY LAUNCH PRIZE

Application Deadline:  February 28, 2025 (all submissions must be submitted by 11:59 PM MST, Friday night).

The Wilkes Climate Launch Prize highlights top global ideas for combating climate change. Each year, by elevating and honoring innovative climate solutions, this University of Utah prize aims to accelerate worldwide progress and encourage technological advances. Our goal is to develop effective climate change solutions quickly for the benefit of people and ecosystems worldwide.

ELIGIBILITY:

Organizations at all stages, both for-profits and nonprofits, anywhere in the world are eligible to submit ideas to be considered for the Wilkes Climate Launch Prize. This includes seed, pre-seed, venture-funded, publicly traded stage companies, or nonprofits.

Phase II:  Finalists submit second-round application on May 13th and pitch in-person at Wilkes Climate Summit at the University of Utah, May 15, 2025
