UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

The International Excellence Scholarships recognise and reward high academic achievement for students who have applied to study a taught Masters course starting in 2025.  

ELIGIBILITY:

To be considered for the scholarship, you must: 

be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes     

have applied for 2025/26 entry for an eligible taught Masters course. You do not need to have received an offer of study before applying for the scholarship  

be self-funding or partially funded 

demonstrate an excellent academic track record, and be predicted to achieve or have achieved at 2.1, based on the criteria used by the School for offer purposes, or equivalent   

show excellent professional and personal skills evidenced through work experience and/or extracurricular activities.

MA Childhood Studies

MA Education

MA Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Studies

MA Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

Application deadline:

for applicants domiciled in mainland China, the deadline is Friday 28 February 5pm UK time. You will receive an email with the outcome of your application by Friday 28 March 2025. 

for all other applicants, the deadline is Friday 16 May 5pm UK time. You will be notified of the outcome of your application by Friday 13 June 2025. 

if you are selected for the scholarship, you will need to accept the award within the timeframe stated in your scholarship letter. 

BENEFIT:

Value—what money is on offer: 10%, 25%, and 50% fee reduction scholarships are available for international students commencing studies in 2025.

FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES—SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES

Scholarships are only available for certain courses and for eligible students who hold an offer to study at the School of Management, School of Social Sciences, School of Culture and Communication, and the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law in September 2025.

By applying to be a Swansea University Developing Futures Scholarship recipient, Swansea University will be required to collect, store, use and otherwise process information about you for purposes connected with the application process and for reasons deemed necessary in order to take steps prior to entering into a contractual agreement with the University.

BENEFIT:

Successful applicants’ tuition fees will be reduced by the amount of the scholarship. No funds will be transferred to the applicant.
