UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY BUSINESS SCHOOL INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP IN HONOURS

LOCATION: Australia

This scholarship supports high-achieving students commencing an international business honours program in the University of Sydney Business School. No separate application required. Applications are made during the admissions process for the international business honours program in the Business School.

ELIGIBILITY:

Enroll into an international business honours program in the University of Sydney Business School

Have a minimum WAM of 75 in your undergraduate international business major units of study.

The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and research proposal with supporting methodology and literature.

The Scholarship will be awarded on the recommendation of a selection committee consisting of the Head of the Discipline of International Business, or their nominee, and another academic from the same Discipline.

Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted without the prior permission of Associate Dean and it is not transferable to another school, faculty or university.

To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain satisfactory academic progress to ensure successful on-time completion of their honours program.

BENEFIT:

The Scholarship is valued at $6,000 and is tenable for one year only.

RICHARD A. FREUND INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Richard A. Freund International Scholarship is established in honor of Richard A. Freund, a former president of ASQ. This scholarship supports graduate studies in the theory and application of quality control, quality assurance, quality improvement, and total quality management. It focuses on the engineering, statistical, managerial, and behavioral foundations of these fields. 

ELIGIBILITY:

Application Deadline: The annual deadline for applications is April 1.

Study Location: Studies may take place either in the applicant’s home country or abroad.

ASQ Membership: Applicants are not required to be ASQ members.

Eligibility: Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.25 (both undergraduate and graduate levels).

Field of Study: Applicants must focus their studies on quality control, quality assurance, quality improvement, total quality management, or a related field with an emphasis on quality.

Eligibility Review: ASQ staff is unable to review or predetermine whether an applicant meets the scholarship requirements. It is the applicant’s responsibility to carefully review the eligibility criteria and ensure all required documentation is included in the application.

The scholarship award is announced by July 1 each year, with a value of $5,000 for the annual award.
