UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS UNDERGRADUATE INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP FOR ALLIED HEALTH PROGRAMMES

The School of Medicine has 8 x £30,000 international excellence scholarships available. These scholarships are automatically awarded to the highest-achieving applicants. The scholarships will be in the form of a tuition fee reduction.

ELIGIBILITY:

This award is based on academic excellence. You will automatically be considered based on your UCAS form and information provided as part of the application process.  You must be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes.  

Eligible courses: 

Audiology BSc (B61A)  

Diagnostic Radiography BSc (B821)  

Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) BSc (B810)  

Medical Ultrasound (Sonography) BSc (B825) 

Conditions:

To receive your scholarship, you must:

Accept your offer and chosen Leeds as your firm choice by your ‘reply by’ deadline in UCAS. 

Enrol and register as a student to receive the fee-reduction. 

You must not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award. 

You must be self-funding, new to the University of Leeds, enter onto level 1 or progress from the Leeds International Foundation Year programme onto level 1.

This scholarship will only be offered in subsequent years of study if the following academic performance conditions are met:  

Students to have an average of no less than 60% across all modules in taught year 1 or 2 

All pass-to-progress modules must be passed at a minimum of 60%.  

Fulfilling these conditions means that the scholarships remain focused on excellence.

No application necessary. You will automatically be considered for this scholarship.

Value: £30,000 (£10,000 tuition-fee reduction per year).

UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO: FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP FOR BLACK INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The following award is for Black international undergraduate students (study permit, paying international fees). You will be considered for this opportunity based on the award criteria and your responses to the application questions.

ELIGIBILITY:

Black international undergraduate students (study permit, paying international fees) entering Year One of any full-time degree program in the Faculty of Mathematics.

Selection will be based on a combination of academic achievement and community involvement through extracurricular and/or volunteer activities.

Preference will be given to students who best demonstrate what receiving this award would mean to their pursuit of post­secondary studies.

To be considered, students must submit an online award application by April 15.

The scholarship will be issued in eight equal payments (lA-4B). Payments beyond Year One are dependent on maintaining a minimum overall average of 80% and full-time enrolment in the Faculty of Mathematics. 

BENEFIT:

Valued at $20,000 to $40,000 each, paid over eight academic terms
