The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG) is offering 111 one-time scholarships, three per state of origin, as well as three for the FCT. This scholarship is open to female undergraduates in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
ELIGIBILITY:
The applicant must be a Nigerian student.
Must be a Female
Final-year students are not eligible
Application Documents
Proof of State of Origin—Letter of origination from the university or letter from your local government office.
Two letters of recommendation from any two of the following:
Pastor/Imam
Village Head
Local Government Chairperson
University Lecturer or Head of the Department
One letter of recommendation from either the Dean of your Faculty or the school head of your Department
Photocopy of your current University student identification card
A current photograph of yourself.
An explanation of why you need and why you should receive the scholarship- (Not more than one-half typed page)
A typewritten, double-spaced, two-page essay on this: “HOW CAN NIGERIA HARNESS RENEWABLE ENERGY AND SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES TO CREATE JOBS AND DRIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH?”
BENEFIT:
Each undergraduate student in a Nigerian university who wins the 2026 Scholarship Award will receive $300 USD; the sum of $150 USD would be awarded to each first runner-up, and $100 would be awarded to each second runner-up. The award will be paid in the Naira equivalent.
