This is a government-invited scholarship degree program aimed at fostering global talent and establishing international networks by inviting outstanding students from around the world.
The Korean government provides international students with opportunities to study and offers various scholarship programs.
ELIGIBILITY:
Undergraduate Degrees (including Associate Degree)
Programs: Consisting of departments in various fields established over 80 GKS Universities nationwide
Specialization (UIC): Science and engineering departments focused on customized curriculum and field experience through industry-university collaboration
Available only for associate and bachelor’s degree programs
General Program: Covering various fields, such as humanities, social studies, natural sciences, and arts and physical education, etc.
Criteria:
Nationality: Applicant and both parents must hold non-Korean citizenship
Age: Under 25 years old as of applicable year
Education : Associate Degree – High school graduate, Bachelor’s Degree – High school or associate degree graduate
Academic Performance: Cumulative GPA of 80% or higher in the most recent educational program
Submit your application to either the Korean embassy in your country or directly to a Korean university.

Graduate Degrees (Master’s and Doctoral Degrees)
Programs: Consisting of departments in various fields established over 80 GKS Universities nationwide
General Program: Covering various fields, such as humanities, social studies, natural sciences, and arts and physical education, etc.
Specialized Program:
R&D: Science and engineering departments related to industrial fields
Only available for Master’s and Doctoral programs.
Global Network: Humanities and social science departments related to enhancing global cooperation, etc.
Experts and key figures are mainly invited, and lectures are conducted mainly in English
Only for Master’s degree program without Korean language training
Criteria
Nationality: The applicant and both parents must hold non-Korean citizenship.
Age: Must be under 40 years of age.
Level of Education: Must have graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
GPA: Must have an average GPA of at least 80% from the most recent academic program.
Degree programs: Applicants must submit their application either to the Korean Embassy in their home country or to one of the GKS-designated universities.
Embassy Track: Online application through the Study in Korea website (www.studyinkorea.go.kr)
University Track: Submit the application directly to a GKS-designated university.
Research programs: Applicants must submit their application to a GKS-designated university
BENEFIT:
Undergraduate Degrees (including Associate Degree) and Graduate Degrees (Master’s and Doctoral Degrees)
Scholarship Benefits: Airfare, language training costs, tuition, and study allowances
Selection Quota: Approximately 500 undergraduates (including associate degrees) + 1,900 graduate students
Scholarship Duration: Korean language training + associate degrees (2-3 years), bachelor’s degrees (4-6 years), master’s degrees (2 years), doctoral degrees (3 years)
