WESTERWELLE YOUNG FOUNDERS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

The Westerwelle Young Founders Programme (YFP) is a six-month fellowship for 25 leaders uplifting emerging and developing markets towards a sustainable future.

ELIGIBILITY:

They are looking for entrepreneurs with high potential for impact and growth to become leaders of a sustainable future, with the following criteria:

You are a citizen or resident of a developing or emerging country.

You have recently (in the last five years) started a for-profit company focused on developing or emerging markets.

Your company possesses a scalable business model that has generated revenue or secured a first round of external funding.

You or your business possesses disruptive qualities that can increase the quality, impact or inclusiveness of the industry.

You possess a good working knowledge of English.

You are available to attend the digital kick-off conference and can make time to participate in programme activities for the six months.

BENEFIT:

Kick-Off Event: A two-day digital kick-off event will take place in mid September 2024.

Remote Programme: From September 2024 – February 2025, the Young Founders will receive six months of support including a personal mentor, monthly peer learning sessions, monthly expert workshops and networking opportunities with corporates and investors.

Berlin Conference: The ten best performing Young Founders will be invited to a five-day conference in Berlin in June 2025 fully funded. During this conference, the founders will have the opportunity to pitch in front of investors, participate in workshops, join networking events and get insights into the German start-up scene.

GLOBAL GETTY FOUNDATION SCHOLARS GRANTS PROGRAM

Application Deadline: October 1, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. (PDT).

The Getty Scholars Program supports innovative research about art, conceived in the broadest terms, and its histories, by providing a locus for international scholars to forge collaborations across disciplines and professional practices, while also developing new audiences for their work.

ELIGIBILITY:

Scholar Grant applicants should have received a PhD before September 1, 2021. Applicants from associated fields who do not hold a PhD but have commensurate professional experience will also be considered.

Applicants who received their degree after September 1, 2021 should apply for a Postdoctoral Fellowship.

After a waiting period of six years, previous Getty Residential Grant recipients in any category are eligible to reapply for another grant in whichever category they are eligible for and interested in. See FAQs for more information.

BENEFIT:

Scholar Grant recipients at the Getty Center may be in residence from three to nine months and receive varying stipends as detailed below*:

Three-month residency: September–December/January–March; $21,500 stipend

Six-month residency: September–March/January–June; $43,000 stipend

Nine-month residency: September–June; $65,000 stipend

Recipients also receive a relocation stipend of $2,000.
