“RICH” FUMETTO COMIC COMPETITION 2025

Application Opens: 1 December, 2024; Deadline: 31 December, 2024

This year Fumetto is collecting stories around the topic of wealth under the title “RICH”: What does wealth look like? Who is rich? People don’t talk about money. But: What you can’t talk about, you should draw about! Or is it ultimately not about money at all? But about abundant health, love and time? Are the inconspicuous little moments the ones that contain the wealth of an entire universe, or are our experiences and emotions the true mark of wealth?

ELIGIBILITY:

Entry is accepted fom all over the world and it is free

Age Category:

Cat. 1: from 18 years

Cat. 2: 13 to 17 years

Cat. 3: up to 12 years

(The cut-off date for age is the closing date of December 31st, 2024)

The participation of school classes is very welcome. School classes can register and participate as a class

Submission is only possible digitally and from December 1st via upload at wettbwerb.fumetto.ch (only one entry per person)

File: The file must be uploaded in jpg format, at least 3000px wide

Format: in the original, A4 or A3; other formats are not accepted

Layout: Landscape formats only; Portrait formats cannot be accepted

Form: Comics only (multi-picture stories)

Number of pages: maximum four pages (only 1 comic)

Fumetto will award three prizes in each of the following categories:

18 years or older

1st prize – 1,111 CHF
2nd prize – 888 CHF
3rd prize – 666 CHF

13 to 17 years (non-cash prizes)
up to 12 years of age (non-cash prizes)

AFRICAN PEACEBUILDING NETWORK RESEARCH POLICY FELLOWSHIP

LOCATION: USA

The APN Research Policy Fellowship supports African scholars who have been recipients of an APN IRF fellowship within the past five (5) years. The fellowship enables scholars to seek affiliation with African regional and national policy think tanks, institutions, and advocacy organizations operating in the fields of peacebuilding, security, and development for up to 6 months.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be considered eligible, applicants must be former APN IRF fellows of the past five years (2020-2024) and interested in policy-related research.

All applicants must be currently residing in an African country. This competition is open to African academics, as well as policy analysts and practitioners.

Historically marginalized persons and communities are strongly encouraged to apply, including women, Indigenous people, gender diverse, LGBTQIA+, and persons with disabilities, among others.

BENEFIT:

Offering up to $12,000 to recipients to take leave from their teaching and administrative roles for the period. Funding is intended to cover housing, travel, administrative, and meal costs for the duration of the fellowship.
