BOW SEAT: CREATIVE ACTION FOR CONSERVATION OCEAN AWARENESS CONTEST (A CREATIVE CHALLENGE FOR TEENS WORLDWIDE)

The 2026 Ocean Awareness Contest—Your Story, Our Ocean—encourages you to explore the many ways the ocean sustains, protects, and inspires us.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students ages 11-18 from around the world are invited to participate in the Ocean Awareness Contest. Enter the division based on your age at the time of entry:

Junior Division: Age 11-14

Senior Division: Age 15-18

Students can participate as an individual or as a club, class, or group of any size. All students must provide the contact information for an Adult Sponsor (teacher, parent, mentor, etc.) Students who have started college or university are not eligible to participate in the contest.

Creative Writing

Film

Performing Arts: Music & Dance

SINGAPORE-ICAO DEVELOPING COUNTRIES TRAINING PROGRAMME FELLOWSHIPS

Application Deadline: November 8, 2026.

LOCATION: Singapore

Singapore and ICAO established the Developing Countries Training Programme (DCTP) in 2001. Sponsored by the Singapore Government and in partnership with ICAO, the DCTP has been renewed for another three years from May 2025 to March 2028. It provides 330 Fellowships and 10 Scholarships to government officials from eligible developing ICAO Member States to attend specialised training programmes conducted by Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA).

ELIGIBILITY:

Who have received endorsement by your reporting officer and Director-General of Civil Aviation or equivalent. States should nominate only one applicant per course to enable more states to benefit from the DCTP.

Whose job qualifications/work portfolios are relevant to the course applied for.

The application deadline for each course is 16 weeks before the course start date. Fellowship applications should be submitted online via this application link.

Nomination form endorsed by your direct reporting officer (Part 1) and the Director-General of Civil Aviation or equivalent (Part 2). Please download a copy of the nomination form here

Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application 12 weeks before the course start date. Successful applicants will receive an award letter via email and need to confirm acceptance of the award.

BENEFIT:

From April 2026 to March 2027, 110 Fellowships will be available. Fellowships are offered for SAA courses listed in the table below on the programme website. Each fellowship covers course fees, hotel accommodation, and a daily allowance.
