GKS DEGREE PROGRAMME FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN KOREA

Application Deadline:

Undergraduate: Mid September 2023 to October 2023*

Graduate: Mid February 2024 to March 2024

LOCATION: Korea

Promote international educational exchange and promote friendship between countries by providing foreign students with the opportunity to study at Korean higher education institutions.

ELIGIBILITY:

Undergraduate course

Those who are under 25 years of age as of March 1st of the selection year
Those who have (expected to) complete the entire elementary, middle, and high school curriculum as of March 1st of the selection year

 Graduate course

Those who are under the age of 40 as of September 1st of the selection year
Those who have earned a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree as of February 28th of the selection year
Those who are current professors from ODA recipient countries among the invited countries and are under the age of 45 as of September 1st of the selection year

Common- Applicants and both parents are foreignersDual Korean nationality is not recognized as an alien.- Those who are healthy both mentally and physically to be able to study abroad in Korea for a long period of time- Those who have a grade point average (GPA) of 80% or higher for all grades in the last school attended- Those who are currently enrolled in or have graduated from a university or graduate school in Korea are not eligible to apply.However, existing government-invited scholarship recipients with a grade point average (GPA) of 90% or higher in all grades of the last school and a TOPIK level 5 or higher can reapply through embassy or university screening (limited to one time)

THE MASTERCARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARS PROGRAM AT UC BERKELEY

Application Deadline: Through the fall of 2028.

The University of California, Berkeley has partnered with The Mastercard Foundation(link is external) in a collaborative, global network of education institutions and non-profit organizations that believe education is a catalyst for social and economic advancement. The Scholars Program aims to develop a cohort of ethical, entrepreneurial, and energetic young leaders who will drive and lead socio-economic transformation in Africa.

ELIGIBILITY:

Being a citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country

Having academic talent

Demonstrating leadership potential

Having demonstrated the commitment to give back to your community, country, or continent

Having expressed the desire and intention to return to your home country after completing your studies

Master’s degree applicants must first apply to a graduate progam before they will be considered for the Mastercard Foundations Scholars Program. Not all degree programs are eligible. Here is a list of Master’s Degree programs.

BENEFIT:

Mastercard Foundation Scholars receive a comprehensive scholarship equivalent to the costs associated with earning a master’s degree, which includes travel, tuition, Berkeley student fees, visa and SEVIS fees, housing, food, living expenses, and cohort signature programs which will focus on leadership and entrepreneurship.
