LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY GLOBAL IMPACT POSTGRADUATE TAUGHT SCHOLARSHIP

Loughborough University has committed to being an internationally engaged, research-intensive university that delivers meaningful impact and keeps students at its heart. The Global Impact Scholarship is one of the many practical steps for us implementing this strategy while recognizing the importance of our external influence and the impact of our actions on the world around us and the challenges that face us as a society.

ELIGIBILITY:

The scholarship application is open to students currently domiciled (permanently living) in country listed in the program website

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

Currently holding an offer (conditional or unconditional) for an eligible postgraduate taught programme

Currently domiciled (permanently living) in the country listed in the table below.

Evidence of exceptional academic achievement (normally a first-class honours degree)

Commitment to contribute to the development of your home country after graduation.

Full understanding of the costs involved in coming to study and live in the UK

Evidence of strong motivation and initiative to secure funds to cover the remainder of the costs involved

Applicants should be high-caliber graduates with the personal, intellectual, and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership and driving sustainable change within communities.

Applicants are advised to spend considerable effort ensuring that this application reaches the selectors in a form that is clear, well presented, and which reflects their abilities and motivation.

There is no expectation for you to return to your home country following graduation as part of the scholarship requirement.

The latest deadline to have submitted an application to study is 15 April 2026

BENEFIT:

For courses starting in September 2026, the Global Impact Scholarship offers 100% off tuition fees for 1 year.

GOLDSMITHS, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON SANCTUARY SCHOLARSHIP (FORMERLY INTERNATIONAL RESPONSE SCHOLARSHIP)

Application Deadline: 25 May 2026 at midnight BST (British Summer Time).

LOCATION: England

Application for the Sanctuary Scholarship (formerly the International Response Scholarship) is open. Eligible and exceptional students from around the world are encouraged to apply

ELIGIBILITY:

You must meet the general eligibility criteria and regulations. You must also:

Have refugee status in the UK, or have an active application for asylum in the UK (you will be required to provide documentation to demonstrate your status). Supporting documents should be uploaded to your MyGoldsmiths account.

Be holding an offer of study on an undergraduate or taught postgraduate degree at Goldsmiths.

Be taught in person (online degrees are not eligible).

You must be eligible to study in the UK. If you are on immigration bail, this must not have a condition prohibiting you from studying.

Any scholarship applications from Ukrainian applicants seeking refuge in the UK under the special arrangement set by the Home Office will be considered for this scholarship.

Applications will open on 16 February 2026 and close on 25 May 2026 at midnight BST (British Summer Time).

If you wish to live in Goldsmiths accommodation, you must make a separate application. Find out more about our accommodation, and make your application. Please include in the notes section that you are applying for the International Response Scholarship.

BENEFIT:

Successful applicants will receive a £8,825 allowance, a full tuition fee waiver for each year of study and an accommodation fee for a single study bedroom in Goldsmiths halls of residence (up to £200 per week)
